    Son wanted steam money for the holidays, grandparents gave him best buy card instead. He was happy as he could basically "swap" out gift cards since best buy stocks these steam cards.

    Sure, you can send GC $balances via Steam, but nothing like an old fashion BDAY card with a Steam GC inside. Kinda like those old days. Ah, nostalgic.

    Thank goodness for Steam cards. Without these, there wouldn't be much to look at for PC gaming. These are handy to get when you have a cert to redeem and nothing to buy at the moment.

    Steam Cards are great for kids to buy on-line games they can download to their devices and play. Very reasonable prices compare to a store. Definitely worth getting.

    The main benefit of a card like this is, you don't have to put your credit card number online when buying something. If you aren't worried about that then this card makes no sense.
