Despite my kids having a ps4 with amazing graphics and gameplay they are still drawn to these 8bit looking games with fun gameplay. Steam has them all and everything else you need. All the kids are wired these days and this is one more way to get together and play online (if they each purchase the same game). Pretty good site. Gift card is what it is. More money to dump into games :)

If you don't, buy one, and give it to any PC gamer with a computer and watch them love you more than the most loyal family pet and cry tears of joy that they were so lucky to have received......THE PRECIOUS!!!!!!!!

Easy way to add money to steam account. Just in time for summer and winter sales.

You purchase the card, scratch off the back, and redeem the code inside the steam app or at steampowered.com. I would purchase my games from Best Buy (I like having physical copies of discs), but the Best Buy selection of PC games is relatively small and their prices are usually too high. So, that's it. Steam works. It's the standard for a reason and this card was an easy purchase.

Everything worked fine. Not sure why they were so limited in stock however. Had to buy 3 smaller amounts because the larger amounts were sold out.

What can I say? Excellent and straightforward gift, or for personal use. Watch for those sales on Steam to get the max usage out of this card. Also remember to watch the checkout activate your card otherwise it is useless. And yes, Bestbuy rewards does apply towards this, and if they for some reason refuse in store then order online for a pick-up to use the rewards or other Bestbuy gift card.

It's a challenge for me to find gifts that my teenage and college age relatives will like. The Steam gift card is the perfect answer! I didn't know exactly what it was but was told that my nephew would love one. Best Buy customer service was so helpful, explaining what Steam was and helping me determine the right amount. This is a very convenient way to earn points on both steam and bestbuy using your bestbuy card. Its a win win.

If you've never used Steam as a distributor of your PC games, you are missing out. They keep a running catalog of your games and let you play them on any PC you are able to download and install onto. I purchased Orange Box with part of my "wallet" and already had Half-Life 2. Steam allowed me to gift the extra copy of the game to any member of Steam that I wanted to. Pretty cool!

This is a great way to avoid using your credit card when you want to buy credits on MMOs for in game stuff. Most online games use Steam as a payment method. Also, when you buy direct from the game you don't get any bonuses unless there is a special offer but when you buy a Steam card at Best Buy you get points all the time every day. You also get 2x points from Best Buy's gamer club program!
