But, setting screen mirroring up was an easy-breezy 12+ step process. First, on your phone type in a non-secure (not https) rando website (http://192.168.49.1)…then, you’ll maybe find the projector in a while. Finally, get the thing to mirror at the Netflix main page…almost there…start the movie and the screen chokes but your phone keeps on playing. Stop the movie, screen shows what your phone shows. Repeat for Disney+, then HBOmax, Amazon and finally Redbox. On a back page of the manual, it comes clean: “Due to the copyright restrictions from Hulu, Netflix, and similar services, the contents CAN NOT be mirrored or cast.” Why wasn’t that put on the Vankyo 470 main page of Best Buy? Why was that not disclosed on the side of the box. Why would ANYONE buy a device that can receive information from a cell phone, but not have that information be anything that YOU paid for? The only activity this thing is good for is showing vacation photos on the wall. Don’t believe the hype…hard swerve!

Once I connect, either wirelessly or by cable, the machine starts glitching out and won’t mirror my phone or play any content. Then it stops connecting to my phone all together. Horrible purchase, you get what you pay for.

Cant murro, cant cast, id yiu tey ti use a usb-c to hemi adapter it complains about a vga connection, the built in wireless is trash and downst work half the tkme and you cant output to a bluetooth speaker. Its high orixed trash.

Streaming restrictions on iPhone

Can’t stream Netflix, etc from phone, which was actually the reason i bought this thing. Only work around that made it usable is attaching an Amazon Firestick and only then can you stream anything.

Streaming Restrictions
