not bad
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's not bad for the price, but however, the Bluetooth fails a lot. It has a good internet connection and good projection. You will need speakers to use it. Its sound system is very poor.

||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Could only use at night or with no lights on. Returned it and purchased a different projector. The light output was awful. Bluetooth had an audio lag on all devices I tried with it.

Lifespan Issue
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We really liked this projector; unfortunately, it completely stopped turning on after only 4 months of very light use. I didn't purchase a warranty because I didn't assume it would have quite such a short life span.

Reverend
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The "screen" that comes with it is just a cloth. We had to set the projector close to the screen in order for the presentation to be clear, but it was very small. Auto focus didn't work and the further away from the screen (in order to fill the screen) the harder it was to see.

Perfect for projector for portable & leisurely use
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Affordable projectors have really come a long way since I last checked. This projector is not only a great value for the price but a great projector in its own right. It works even in rooms that are not fully dark. It produces good enough sound for a small space, and its picture is bright and color accurate. This projector is such a great value for the price that I can recommended wholeheartedly for anyone who just needs something to put a picture on a wall now and again. I think it would even work for someone who wanted to use it as their main mode of large-screen entertainment, as long as you have a good bluetooth speaker to pair it to. I've been keeping a 40" LED TV in storage and setting it up in my kids' room for things like parties and sleepovers when we need to keep the main TV area free from loud children. This will 100% take the place of that TV. My first experience with this projector was bringing it to a cabin for a camping trip. The first two days of the trip saw beautiful weather and we didn't use the projector at all, but on the third day the rain came and the need for screens became apparent. I was able to have the projector set up and working with my phone as a Wi-Fi hotspot in just a few minutes. I added my Netflix account to the app and we were able to start watching right away. It can also be used with a YouTube account, meaning my kids can pick up where they left off anytime they want to on the road. Amazon Prime Video is also built it. Just make sure you pack a couple of AAA batteries for the remote because the box does not include them. Speaking of the remote, it is very intuitive and easy to use and worked very well compared to some that I've seen. Note that the home button is in kind of a weird spot compared to other remotes of its type, so you might find yourself pressing it instead of the menu button. You'll get used to it. The operating system is snappy and responsive, with no lag. Speakers are definitely adequate for small crowds in a room, but maybe wouldn't be enough for a larger group outdoors. The fan noise is noticeable but definitely not too loud compared to the audio and I found it quite comfortable listening for long periods of time. I also like that this can be used as a Bluetooth speaker for phones to connect to and play. The picture is bright enough to be used in a room with curtains drawn even during a sunny day. I was impressed by that. It's also good enough to be used without adjustments, but there are several presets for various kinds of content and also a custom picture mode. Speaking of the picture modes, it seems that the settings apply only to video content; when you set them from the main menu, you won't notice a difference, but when you switch to watching something, your settings will be applied. As for clarity, I did notice some light blurring on the edges of the image even on a very flat wall with the projector about 7 feet away, but it was only noticeable when viewing static images like the main menu. Videos and movies played during my testing were excellently reproduced. The box for this is small enough that it could be packed in anyone's luggage even in a smaller car for road trips and hotel stays. Perhaps not something you'd want to take on a plane, but the whole thing would take up about as much room as 3 pairs of adult jeans, so maybe! For those who want to watch movies off-grid, this projector is very efficient. I ran it plugged in through a watt meter for several hours while watching videos, and the max power draw never climbed about 61 watts. An 1-kWh power bank could keep this running for about 16 hours. That's cool! The only drawback that I noticed is the fact that it can't stream from certain apps like Hulu and Disney directly from the projector. Something to do with copyright or projection rights or something. For that, you'll need a separate device like a streaming stick or PC. All-in-all, I highly recommend the Vankyo Leisure 570B for all your leisurely projection needs. It is honestly incredible for the money!

Blurry and Dark
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works OK but really not a good picture at all. I went back to my old projector and will keep this for camping or emergency use. 1080P native does NOT mean that the picture is sharp, just that your movies will project in the right screen format.

Perfect projector for your backyard movie night
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fun, portable, and a minimal design make the Vankyo Leisure 570 smart projector a solid choice for your entertainment needs. Featuring easy startup and connectivity, good sound, and a few convenient add-ons, this device overcomes its few shortcomings to provide you with everything you want in a portable projector. With a sleek, glossy white finish on a featureless, rectangular box shape, this Vankyo projector catches the eye with its minimal, no-nonsense design. The few buttons on the top illuminate when the device is powered on and are touch activated, adding to the appeal. A small, rubber cover protects the projector lens, and the box can be set up in multiple fashions including upside-down using any universal mount (not included). The device has an adjustable stand that provides some lift to vary your viewing angle, but it isn't the biggest or strongest part and in general, I found myself propping up the Vankyo projector with books and pillows more often than not in order to get the right angle. Finally, the Leisure 570 comes equipped with a 100" projector screen with mounting hardware, power and HDMI cables, and some lens cleaning tools. It has a nice remote, but no AAA batteries were included. And for a product that feels so conveniently portable, I would have liked some kind of case or at least a pouch of some sort included. When powered on, the Vankyo 570 starts up fast and conveniently focuses automatically. This is good when you have the device set up and projecting exactly where you want it, but it is sometimes cumbersome when it's not perfectly pointed at your screen and you need to make adjustments to the device at the initial setup. If set up at a stationary area in, around, or outside your house, this may not be an issue, but it does present some problems elsewhere. The projector gives a decent, clear picture, but its brightness leaves a little to be desired outside of a completely pitch black environment. Even the smallest bit of light proves a bit distracting. The menu options do provide several picture setups that allow you to optimize your experience, which is a plus. When it comes to sound, the Leisure 570 is a great option on its own. It gives a pretty big sound considering its small size - nothing too impressive but passable. With Bluetooth connectivity, it does provide the option to add even bigger sound for a more immersive, rich experience. The device also has easy WiFi setup to get online, and it comes pre-installed with a few apps like Netflix, YouTube, and Prime Video. However, you may want to connect a streaming stick of your own to tap into a wider selection of viewing options. Overall, I really like this projector for its minimal, sleek design and portability, its ease of setup and use, and the included, large screen adds value as well. Getting a backyard movie night going with the Vankyo Leisure 570 is simple and convenient - you just have to wait until the sun is down to truly enjoy it.

Decent budget projector
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This projector set is a nice little compact unit. My first disappointment when unboxing was a lack of batteries for the remote. It’s such a little thing but why couldn’t they include batteries like most other manufacturers? I didn’t want to run through set up from the buttons on the unit, so this really delayed my initial setup. I was also happy that it included a screen. I was a bit surprised at how thin it was. I initially appreciate the thinness due to how lightweight it was which made hanging it so much easier. There was no worries of it being too heavy for the hooks but it, however once the projector started, I could see that it was too thin and wasn't very effective. I ended up displaying on my white wall instead. I set it up in the basement to test. I had the light on at the base of the stairs directly behind where it was sitting but I quickly learned that this little amount of light was really too much light for a good bright image. It truly works best in complete darkness. I do like the auto focus feature. That is pretty awesome. Once it did lock in at the incorrect focus, but I just had to move it a bit for it to recognize and readjust again. It's a 1080p display and I had no issues with the video at all other than being a bit washed out at times. Also the sound out of the unit wasn’t great but it was ok by itself. It does have a jack to hook up external speakers. If planning a movie party, I highly recommend using external speakers. I don’t believe this would be loud enough for a bunch of people, but it was just fine for myself, and I sat close to the unit. It is compact and for the budget class, better than expected. The interface was very easy to work with and the menu was easy to follow. I do like the Netflix and youtube buttons and the ease of which to log in and navigate through those apps. I would recommend this unit as long as people know it’s not the brightest or best sounding for crowd and make sure you have 2 AAA batteries on hand for the remote.

Quiet, Small, Fairly feature rich
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've tried out a few projectors over the last year or so and I think this one is going to stay in my dining room for my kids. It isn't perfect but it gets close enough for my needs. Setup is about as easy as you'd expect for a projector. Plug it in and turn it on. The first hurdle I ran into was, since I was using this on a wall and not the included screen, I think the auto-focus had a little bit of trouble initially so I had to figure out how to focus the thing without being able to see anything on the screen. The instruction manual would have pointed me towards the manual focus button on the remote but I actually found it on my own (even if I wasn't sure what the button did at first) and after a little more tinkering found out how to adjust the focus manually. If you run into the same thing, just press the square button on the top of the remote and then up and down to adjust the focus until you can see. After that was sorted, I connected to my wifi and was pretty much all set. The settings are pretty basic and I wish there was a couple options to initiate auto-focus and auto-keystone manually. If there's a way to do it, I haven't found it in the book and I haven't found it by exploring. The only thing you can do is tell it to automatically focus and/or keystone on boot. You shouldn't need to do much adjusting once you get it set up so I just turned on the autofocus on boot just for good measure and adjusted the keystone manually. One of the biggest draws for this projector over the one I was previously using is the included apps. The FireStick I've been using has been a little slow so I would have been really happy to ditch the FireStick all together and just use the apps on the projector. It has NetFlix, Amazon Prime and YouTube pre-installed and ready to go (They even have buttons on the remote for easy access). There's an app store as well, but I didn't find much there. TikTok is available if you're into that kind of thing on a big screen. Not much else from the big streamers like Hulu and Disney+. If the app store had Disney+, my life would be complete since this projector is mostly used at our dining room table while the kids are eating lunch or doing projects and 90% of what they watch is on Disney+. I suppose they can add a Disney+ app in the future maybe but I'm not holding my breath. You may be able to watch Disney+ on the built in web browser (they let you "install" a bookmark in a fairly hidden part of the OS) but when the arrows started moving a cursor around the screen I didn't feel like it was worth it. So I still need the FireStick for Disney+. The picture quality is pretty good. It's fairly bright even when it's not a pitch black room. Colors all look good. Autofocus seems to do a pretty good job but the manual adjustment is also nice to have. It's also nice to be able to keystone as well as select from many different mounting options so it knows how to display the picture (like if you mount it upside down from the ceiling) Sound is also pretty good coming straight out of the projector. I'm a fan of the speakers being on the side instead of the back of the device. But since it also has bluetooth (off by default but easy enough to turn on and pair in the settings), it easily connects with a much nice bluetooth speaker so you can redirect the audio towards the projected image instead of it coming from behind you. Another nice to have is some CEC control so you can turn on the projector with a game console or other device that supports that. I noticed that I was able to turn on the projector with it's remote control and then continue using the projector's remote to control the FireStick as well which was really nice to see. I'm finding it hard to find a lot of negatives for this projector. I'd love to see more apps included on the device so I wouldn't need to use the FireStick at all (Disney+ and Hulu would be great additions to their app store). I could probably do with a tiny bit more brightness? Otherwise, it's a nice projector. It's pretty small. It has a good picture. It's fairly quiet when running (you can hear the fan but it's not as noticeable as other projectors I've used). If you're in the market and this one fits your budget, you might want to give it a look.

A Solid Projector with a Minor Flaw
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Vankyo Leisure 570B Native 1080P Smart Projector is an impressive piece of technology that delivers high-quality visuals and a satisfying user experience. Here’s a breakdown of its key features and my experience using it: Pros: 1. Picture Quality: The 1080P resolution is sharp and clear, providing a vibrant and immersive viewing experience. Colors are rich, and the contrast is excellent, making it suitable for both movies and presentations. 2. Smart Features: The built-in smart functionality is a significant plus. It allows easy access to streaming services and apps without needing additional devices. The interface is user-friendly and responsive. 3. Connectivity: There are multiple ports available (HDMI, USB, etc.), ensuring compatibility with various devices like laptops, gaming consoles, and streaming sticks. 4. Portability: Despite its powerful performance, the projector is lightweight and compact, making it easy to move around and set up in different locations. Cons: 1. No Stand Included: One notable drawback is the absence of a stand. This omission can make setup a bit inconvenient, especially if you don’t have a stable surface at the desired height. A built-in stand or even an adjustable tripod would have made a big difference in ease of use. 2. Sound Quality: While the built-in speakers are decent for casual use, they lack the depth and volume for a truly immersive audio experience. An external speaker setup is recommended for those looking to use it for home theater purposes. 3. No Carrying Case Included: In addition to the stand, I was also disappointed that a case wasn’t included for something that is so portable. Overall: The Vankyo Leisure 570B is a great choice for anyone seeking a high-quality projector with smart capabilities at an affordable price. The picture quality and smart features make it stand out in its category. However, the lack of an included stand is a minor inconvenience that users should be aware of. If you’re prepared to find your own solution for mounting or stabilizing the projector, this model is well worth considering. It does include a screen but it’s hung with 3M command strips and hooks. I've been enjoying playing smash bros. on this with my 9 year old son. It's gonna be a fun summer. In summary, the Vankyo Leisure 570B delivers on its promises of high-definition visuals and smart functionality, but be ready to invest in an additional stand or mounting solution for the best experience.

You get what you pay for, sadly.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was ready to write a glowing review about the Vankyo Leisure 570B being that this was my first protector and the out of box impressions are high, but after you use the device for a little while and the novelty wears off, it's hard to give it that great of a review. The device is built well, compact, comes with a decent remote, support for Netflix Amazon and Disney, easy setup, automatic adjustment, and that's about it. I've been researching other more common brands of projectors and this device seems to leave a more desired. It would appear that to get a quality 4k device you are going to have to spend North of $1000. A quality 1080p device will run you close to $1000. And for that price you will get a device which will be brighter, with a carrying case included, a more involved remote, and most importantly better focus, which is my biggest gripe. When you first open the device you get blown away by the automatic features and the image quality in the center but it bothers me to no end that while the center is focused the edges are not. Vankyo support lists a bunch of suggestions, most notably the keystone. I tried manual adjustment of everything - focus, zoom and keystone and it's still blurry. I tried to put the device as straight to the wall as possible so as not to need any keystone. I tried putting the device only 6 feet from the wall, I could still see it was blurry. I guess if you are watching a movie with no text you'd never notice, but with closed captions you notice it. There are some other annoyances. When you move the device it'll adjust automatically but it'll forget your zoom adjustment and put it back to 100%. The device comes with Netflix, Amazon and Disney+, but no support for any other notable app other than Plex. The app store is something out of those old Samsung proprietary Smart devices from 7 years ago that offered a bunch of useless junk. In all likelihood you'll be using a media device with this. The remote is pretty cheap, has no backlighting and comes with no batteries (you are that cheap that you can't include 2 AAA batteries?). The cable is not exactly long, so you'll probably need to look into an extension cable. The included screen is considerate but it's nothing to write home about. The brightness is set to 50 on the default picture setting. I literally maxed out the brightness and contrast to 100 and the image didn't change (I was watching in a pitch black room, as an aside). Forget about watching this device with any amount of light. It's not bright enough. As another reviewer mentioned, there's some quality control issues. My device came with a nice big fingerprint on the lens which was a pain to clean (you clean and clean and clean with a microfiber cloth but you can still see the oils spread out) and the mirror inside appears to have some debris. Maybe I'll find some utility for this device if my kids have friends over and want to watch a movie and don't care about having the best image. For those of us who care, I'd say look elsewhere.
