After I got it sit up it works perfectly just as I needed to

As others have noted, the charging port stops working after a short period (for us ~ 13 months). Unfortunately, you're not even able to purchase a replacement monitor....only the system as a whole. This is not a "battery issue" but a charging Port Issue on the unit. I enjoyed the system while it worked....but for the price...would have wanted more than a year of functionality.

Let me tell you how excited I was about this monitor. Loved everything about it, until not even 6 months later, the charging port went out. It barely holds a charge, and it’s hard to get it on the charger. It will randomly go off now as well even while on the charger. I am so disappointed in this monitor especially for the price. Please look at other reviews, because this is a KNOWN issue. Also their customer service is absolutely horrible to work with trying to get it replaced since I’m still within the manufacturer warranty. Do not buy this monitor…

Great item it works really well and we really like using it

I love vava! We’ve had 4 due to my son thinking he’s the hulk. They’ve all been great and we’ve never had an issue with them!

Works great we have one in each of our girls rooms. The set up was easy. Love that the monitor shows me the temperature in each of their rooms.

If you have two kids or even need to keep a eyes on kids in dofferent rooms this the monitor for you.

The VAVA split screen baby monitor is a nice basic monitor. Bundled with 2 cameras, the monitor has a large 5” screen capable of viewing both cameras simultaneously, individually, or even cycle between the two. The cameras paired out of the box and are standalone, no app required! Daytime image quality is excellent, providing a clear colorful image. The monochromatic nighttime view is well lit thanks to IR lights on the cameras, unfortunately the image is less sharp and has motion blur. You can also zoom in twice (2x, 4x) and it is about as blurry as you would expect but at least you have the option. They also feature a speaker for two way audio, though I have never used that feature. The cameras are powered via included micro USB adapters, where as fortunately the monitor has a USB C port with a companion cable and adapter. The monitor features a modern design and excellent battery life. The kickstand needs to be enlarged or mirrored as the placement makes it tend to tip over when trying to press a button without holding it in your hand. It makes for checking the monitor in the middle of the night tedious and requiring two hands to ensure it isn’t knocked over. Another noticeable shortcoming is the lack of sound or motion detection. Though the noise level is indicated via colored LEDs, the monitor does not turn on. You will need to rely on having the volume up sufficiently to hear any noises and manually turn the screen on to view. You can set the screen to always on, but other baby monitors are able to detect sound or even motion and turn the screen on automatically. My daughter is becoming a toddler so it is less of a concern as when she was an infant, but it would be nice if it had that capability. The best part about this monitor is split view, allowing you to keep an eye on two kids at once or provide an alternate view into the crib as do we. You could also use the second camera in a playroom or even add up to two more cameras if your family requires! Overall, it is nice but could use a redesigned monitor and more features for the price point.

Charging port loose on monitor after 6 months of use. Company wont respond. Shopping for a better unit now. :(

Only owned for a little over a year and the charge port is broken so it won’t charge consistently. Same thing happened to our one before this. I assumed it was a fluke but clearly this is an issue with all of them. Will not buy from this company again. Way too much money to only last a year.

This is a really nice baby monitoring system. I was glad that it had two cameras and was able to have split view on the monitor. Set up was real simple and both cameras automatically synced to the display monitor device. Setting it up in both the play room and kids room was effortless. I enjoyed having full HD 720p display settings. I got a nice and clear picture on the display in both color and grayscale. It's nice to have the temperature on the display for each camera location. The speaker and microphone offered nice sound and loudness to the rooms. Battery life gave me close tom12 hours unplugged and allowed really good distance for the connection to remain. Unfortunately, the power cords for each camera are rather short and the plugs extend to the side instead of straight up. This means that I am limited to which outlet to out it in as the plug ventures to the side. Also, there is no app or smart enabled compatibility for this. Otherwise, this is a really nice baby monitoring system. Inhave a nice and crisp display for monitoring , can be wireless and offers ,e temperature monitoring for each room the camera is in.

There are a lot of things I like about these VAVA monitors. I used these to watch my 4 month and 5 year old kids. Great use cases for having 2 cameras. Setup was super simple. Just plug and play. For only being 720p the image and movement are really clear. The screen feels like the perfect size that it's not too big in your hand yet easy to see and use. I like that the display just charges off of a USB-C charger so you can charge where ever a cell phone charger might be. The display is very responsive and easy to navigate. It was easy to switch between cameras or watch split screen. There was temperature on both cameras. Autopilot seems useless. There isn't any information about the autopilot in the manual. Pretty much it just runs a cycle of moving the camera ceiling to floor then from left to right maxing each camera position. This would be a fantastic feature if you could set the bounds and have it do more of a room sweep. As is I didn't see anything of value in the room. I need to be able to see the kid moving and playing in the room. The cameras are quiet and smooth. There was no annoying light that could keep the kid up. They are very responsive when controlling them from the display. Two way audio was ok but I'm mostly looking to hear from the kids. Range of motion was way better than our other camera. The night vision was great too especially compared to our other camera. I do wish there was a night light option on them. Surprisingly the signal was superb. I had the cameras on second floor and still got a clear feed down in the basement. I do wish there was a small battery instead of the cameras having to be plugged in all the time. There are cases with watching a sleeping baby that didn't fall asleep where the camera is set up or watching a kid playing in a different area where plugging in isn't ideal. So if they had a couple hour battery that would really make this better than the rest. The cameras feel sturdy and I like the ability to upgrade to wide angle lenses if the future requires it. Having 4x zoom was surprisingly cool. With these cameras I just really got a good feel that I could tell want was going on. With noises and temperature and movement. I had piece of mind being able to get something done on the other end of the house and not feeling like I was out of touch with my children. With the motion on the camera I could easily move it to any area I needed to look more at as my 5 year old moved or if I heard a noise of someone coming into the baby's room. A few other features people might want that these don't have. I've used lullaby's in the past through the camera. Also this is a plus or a minus but there is not wifi and app integration. To have a second display I've used my phone with our other camera and gotten notifications from sounds or movement. Some might enjoy the security of not having this while others might value the convenience more. I would recommend this to someone with multiple children.

We had this for a few months and first the stand for the monitor broke, then the sound from the camera dulled, and now the battery will no longer charge.

Intuitive, easy to use with lots of functionality. It’s all we were looking for in a monitor. Within 3 minutes after powering on, both cameras were connected and we were zooming away. Tested the monitor screen all throughout our home, and there were no drops, not even in the bathroom which is hailed as the signal killer. The interface is very simple and reminds me a lot of the Wyze cameras of which I am a fan. The mic sensitivity is good enough to hear the little one’s soft cries, and the zoom can get pretty close to the action when we need to take a peek. Even in low light. The split screen is well proportioned. I have no strain keeping an eye on all action with both cameras. Speaking of the dual, there are also plenty of camera custom views/shuffles that will please anyone looking to customize how they want to view their feed. Lastly, battery life has been great and the size of the monitor is perfect for moving about. Great monitor.

plug in stopped working after 2 months. still won't work and tech won't help

Even if you only have one child this dual baby/child cam setup is great. You can leave the wireless (need to plug into an outlet) cameras in any room. I prefer one in the bedroom and one in the play area. Because of the dual cam feature I can always leave one camera in the bedroom, and I move the 2nd one depending on where I need it. At first, I thought the dual screen would be stuck as a dual screen but that is not true. You can have split between the cameras so you can view what's going on both cams or you can just have one camera up and it take up the entire screen. The display is crisp in video quality and rechargeable. So far the battery life has been great and I only charge it once for hours of video feed. My favorite part is that each camera has a built-in thermostat which reports the temperature for each camera on the monitor. I find that this camera has a lot of future potential like you can also use it for your pets when you no longer need it for your child(ren). Here are my favorite features: Two pan-n-tilt cameras with night vision. Larger than most HD screen. Auto Pilot like your tesla so your camera keeps an eye on your child, and you don't have to worry where your child moved to. Room temperature monitoring.

The Vava split view camera is fantastic with multiple kids. The quality of the cameras are great and vivid. I find the range with the main screen to be more then adequate and we have not lost a signal. The battery life has been perfect. Panning the cameras works as expected. My only gripe is not being able to zoom into the camera when split view is enabled. Hopefully this can be altered in a future software update. Since this doesn't operate on wifi you won't have to worry about security or losing connectivity due to power outages. The Kickstand is mediocre and can use improvement...however it still does the job. I also wish that this had volume buttons. Overall this is still a five star baby monitor for me. I really do recommend it as a very well priced duel/split screen baby monitor.

I admit, at first I was thinking for this price, I would want 4K quality cameras. But realistically, for this screen size, 720 is perfect. Still a good picture and the frames per second are fast enough, it's not choppy. I really like how there are 2 cameras because we set it up in 1 room for 1 child in different angles, but if needed in the future, can have 1 per child. And this is like a supplementary set of cameras, because you can have these two as well as another set too. They're really straight forward to use and set up, and they simply work. I like the ease and convenience.

First of all, setup and use was simple and easy and I had not problems getting it to work. Operation is basically what I think any person familiar with a baby monitor might expect. Pictures and sounds all came through clear. I selected this monitor with the thought that I can put it in different locations of the room and get a better view of our crib and never have to worry about the baby being out of view. In hindsight it was kind of a waste for that purpose and a bit of overkill. I don’t think that extra view was really worth the effort of trying to get extension cords and figuring out placement of two cameras that would get every angle of the crib. Just after I got the unit I had a co-worker who’s wife had twins. He didn’t have any baby monitor so I said he could borrow mine until he got one of his own and just set up my old one again. He loved it, he said the ability to just use one screen / controller and track both boys was so nice that his wife decided to go by their own. So if you’re trying to just be extra fancy with one kid you’ll probably be disappointed by how little the second screen really helps. If you have twins on the other hand, you will love this.
