Love this SteelBook and was kind of bummed it sold out so quick upon the initial release. I'm glad it restocked and I was able to purchase it and Into the Spider-Verse SteelBooks at the same time. I collect SteelBooks, and because of me not being able to purchase either of these originally, I went out and got the standard 4K Amaray releases (with Slipcovers!). They looks great together next to all my VENOM Funko Pops.

Venom is one of the best movies i have seen in months. I waited to purchase this movie, because i have an extensive movie libray and always wait till movies go on sale! Even though it does not follow the Spiderman origin.... I happen to think it is way better that way! It comes with alot of action, a little self learning and romance... but has a bit of laughter as well. Check it iout and you will be surprized!

Was hoping for more from the director of Zombieland but it was a fun one-time viewing. The movie seems cobbled together but doesn't take itself too seriously so fun but just barely enough to recommend.

Is 'Venom' ('18) great? No, not really. But it's really fun and entertaining. And Tom Hardy is really giving this roll his all. My overall rating is based on the 4K transfer which is really stunning. My only disappointment is that the copy I got didn't have the rad illustrated cover as pictured. (Which I think is a slip case? Not sure.) My copy came with the standard half Tom Hardy, half Venom cover.

I really liked this movie. It hasn't gotten the best reviews but in my opinion it was very good. Explains the origin of how Eddie Brock becomes Venom. Plenty of action and humor throughout the whole movie. Really looking forward to the 2nd Venom movie that will also have Carnage in it. If you're a Marvel fan, I think you'll like this movie. I wasn't a comic reader so I can't speak for how accurate it is compared to the comic books. A must have if you're a movie collector.

I really wanted to love this movie but my expectations were too high given this is one of my favorite Marvel characters. It was very well done but it just didn't have a real memorable feel to it.

This is one of those films where everybody has their own opinion on it. It’s a lot of fun and different than your normal comic book film. The change of pace is nice. Lots of fun to watch.

Great movie! Takes a little time establishing the characters and setup, but overall pretty good. Might be a bit better if you were familiar with the comic book, but it doesn’t stick to the origin story that closely. Sets up the sequel without leaving you unfulfilled. Good acting, although the villain is a bit one dimensional. I really wanted to see spidey, even obliquely, but it could be building to that. Has the standard post movie trailer, fans will know what’s coming.

Honestly… I’m not into scary movies at all, BUT this is one that definitely changes that issue “a bit” for me! It’s well cast, well written and often quite humorous too be sure! If you love the Marvel universe whatsoever, don’t let this “gem” slip by. You will be satisfied too be sure! It has a bit of horrible images, but they’re not all that scary… Enjoy mates

There are some fun moments in this movie, but it relies on chessy dialogue. It is not a well written movie. It is based on a Marvel character, but don't expect a MCU type experience.

Big reader of comics. Story doesn’t stay true to origin but once u can overlook that, the movie rocks. Saw it with the family n they loved it. Looking forward to a sequel.

Not your typical super-hero movie, more of an alien inhabiting a human body. Tonally, the movie seems to struggle between a super-hero, villain, action, and comedy movie. Not quite finding it's footing. That's not to say that it's a bad movie, in fact, it's a rather fun movie. It wasn't quite what I expected, but I still enjoyed it. The action as well as the special effects were fantastic. As far as the picture and sound are concerned, both are outstanding. The supplements are above average as well. I would definitely recommend this movie.

it was funnier than i thought it would be, it did keep me interested, not sure if i would watch it again unless I was watching to link to another marvel movie and needed background.

This movie was very fun and entertaining! The plot is a bit lacking, but other than that it's great. I found myself laughing throughout the whole movie, the dialogue between Tom Hardy and Venom was really good! The action scenes were entertaining and the movie does not take itself too seriously. This is the perfect movie for when you just want to relax and don't feel like analyzing every detail.

Missed the mark. Unrealistic interactions between characters even for a comic book based movie. Had potential but squandered some good casting decisions trying to do too much.

Well as you probably already know the movie could have had a much better story and i probably should give it just 2 stars but being such a hard core fan it gotan extra star for pity

I found Venom to be quite boring and lacking in deep plot. In fairness, I wasn't thinking about it being Sony that made it and expected more of a Marvel movie. Definitely not that.

Watched this with fingers crossed hoping it would at least be watchable. It was and I did enjoy it. I guess it is time to hope that Sony can do something right in the Spider-verse.

The scenes with eddy Brock and venom are literally the only good thing in this film, sad to say the rest of the film is pale with generic plot and uninteresting characters.

Not your father's Marvel movie...Venom gives us the anti-hero version of Spiderman, without Tobey Maguire's horrible Saturday Night Fever rendition from Spiderman III. Tom Hardy stars in this anti-hero film of the alien symbiote Venom, which bonds with him. The film proved that you can have a film without Spiderman and yet be in the same universe and be successful.
