Its the first decent Venom movie. No its not MCU, it's Sony (which is all confusing in its own right), but its not a bad movie. My son loved it so that drove the purchase. I thought Tom Hardy did a good job with the role bringing Venom to life.

I had high hopes for this film and yet I feel that the rating really hurts the film for what it could have been. But should be watched once

The movie is ok not great. 4K is always nice. If I had seen the movie in the theater I would not acquire this disk for the library.

Tom Hardy is always awesome! Michelle Williams seems out of place. Her performance looked “phoned in!” After watching the extra features, she sounded like she just wanted to be attached to the Marvel Movie juggernaught! That aside, the movie seemed “rushed,” but I think it was a good start to what could be a great franchise!! As long as Tom Hardy is involved, and at some point... Spider-Man gets included, it looks like it can’t miss!

This movie is great for somebody not caring about how it differs from the comic. Decent story, visually pleasing. Hardy does a great job.

Movie about a Spider-Man villain that makes every effort to have no ties to Spider-Man. Cool at some parts but just "why" at other parts.

I know this isn't an official Marvel movie release, but since it's part of the Marvel Universe I had to add it to my collection.

This movie wasn’t as good as I thought it was going to be. Very disappointed that I bought it. I love all marvel movies but not this one.

Though this story didn't match my previous exposures to Venom backstories and timelines, I was pleasantly surprised. Eddie's humorous interactions with the symbiote were quite a bit of fun, and the story moved along smoothly...not getting bogged down with too much of the unnecessary. Didn't exactly end up with agent Venom, but that's a different host anyway.

Venom was one of my favorite comic book characters so I was a little disappointed when I heard that Sony cut out some of the more action type parts. I liked the movie, a bit of family entertainment, however I did not like the cursing and would have appreciated it if they would have offered it in a 2 disc set, one for the die hard fans and one for the family.

Good movie with Tom Hardy delivering another fine performance. The movie has a '90's Darkman feel to it that adds to the charm.

Came down to a price I liked at $14.99 so I bought it as I am just a fan of Venom the movie was so so like I said I rented first

Not nearly as good as the movie could’ve been, but at least both the digital and physical copies work well with no issues

First of all, Tom Hardy is a stellar actor. It was a unique role for him. The movie dragged a bit at the start though the action and humor are pretty good. It's hard to pinpoint what this movie lacked but it was missing something; no partial stars rankings available, I would've given it 3.75 stars. Hopefully, they crush it in Venom 2 to earn a 5-star review.

Wasn't really sure what to think of it when I saw the trailers for this movie, because most of the time they show some of the best stuff within the commercials. Fortunately though, this movie had a lot more to offer than just those particular scenes. It was awesome!!! Tom killed the role!! ...Just talking about it is making me want to watch it again.

I thought the movie was just okay. I love just about everything Marvel, but to me this one fell a bit short. Worth watching once.

What a fantastic film entry for Venom! Tom Hardy nailed it as he always seems to do. I wish the film could've been rated R but it definitely did a great job without that extra freedom. The steelbook is easily one of my favorites in my collection. Highly recommended!

Great looking 4k movie Dolby Atmos is awesome Storytelling comes up little short. Hopefully the sequel will be better

That's my favorite line from this movie and I love the scene in which it appears. This is such a casual superhero movie that in the sense that Eddie Brock isn't much of a hero as he is a villain, he's just a dude bonded with an alien that eats people according to Eddie's definition of "bad guy" and occasionally prevents alien invasions.
