Owned for 2 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I took the risk of using these for backing up data, but the strange thing is it seems my burner has a preference for DVD+R media instead of the DVD-R, so at least half or more of the disks failed to record successfully.

Avoid.......

I shouldn't have - several discs didn't burn properly and one was warped......

Poor packing

They sat the spindle DIRECTLY on the bottom of the box instead of putting air bubbles on the bottom to sit it on. When I picked up the package, the entire unit was COMPLETELY destroyed!! Had to return.

Questionable Quality

Poor quality discs

They spit out with a screen message "This disc can be neither played, nor recorded." About half the Verbatim discs that WILL record and save will freeze up at about the 55 minute mark during playback: I get the same result on my Sony DVD player, my Panasonic player, and my PC. I will not buy any more Verbatim discs. Best Buy used to offer Sony recordable discs, but I haven't seen any of them in a long time. What happened?
