    A lot of laptops don't include optical drives any more. This external drive is a necessary evil if you still want to use DVDs or CDs. Simple to use.

    Got this for my recent computer build. Only really needed it to load the OS, uses 2 USB Slots, make sure you plug them both in.

    Right from the start had problems with disc ejecting, but waited too long to be able to return to Best Buy...Then stopped working altogether. Don't know if it was the brand or the hardware, but won't buy Verbatim again.
