this genre is normally my favorite, but Jenna Coleman makes this series shine. anything with her in it is well worth watching

Very true historical story with a few liberties taken

High quality recording. Good for a history lesson.

This DVD doesn't carry the entire content that was shown PBS. Probably a minute or two from each episode is missing, but having watched the show on PBS and then on the DVDs I did notice that what was missing did make the plot clearer. Then there is the expectation that when you buy DVDs or Blu-ray that you will at least get the entire content that was shown on TV and maybe even a little more in the form of special features. It was not the case with these DVDs.

This is supposed to be an extended version and yet the scenes are shorter than what aired on PBS. Some scenes are cut altogether. I'm upset. :(

Was hoping for something like Downtown Abby. Was disappointed. Would be good for younger adult.
