I normally have a good experience with Best Buy Geek Squad. However, yesterday's experience was horrible. I had requested service to reset my home security cameras since I changed internet providers. I signed up for the service guy to show up sometime form 7 am to 1 pm. I got an email later that day that the service guy will show up sometime from 11:30-2:45. Then I got a text around 3 from the tech telling me he will be there in an hour. The guy arrived at 4 pm. He didn't appear to know what he was doing, he didn't know how to speak English well, and he asked for the manual. I gave him what he was asking for. Later, he had me talk to the maker of my home security system who talked me into how to reset the cameras since apparently, the rep from my home security system was having a hard time talking the Bestbuy tech guy through how to do it since he doesn't know how to speak English! By this time, I was already fuming mad. I hired Geek Squad to do the job so I don't have to spend the time to do this, and I ended up doing the tech's job! I reset most of the cameras and told the tech to go home because I don't think he knows what he was doing. then, I called Best buy and complained. The rep there told me I would get an email tomorrow (which is today) asking for my review and that someone should call me to follow up about my experience. I haven't gotten an email from Best buy let alone a follow up call. Thus, I'm giving this service a poor rating.
