The person who cam to my home explained he or anyone could hard wire the doorbell but recommended i use lithium to avoid having to change so often. But the customer service person i spoke with afterwards was awesome! He worked diligently to make sure i receives refund.

I was having trouble with my Blink doorbell. Made an appointment thru Best Buy. They sent emails about time and what I needed to do. They sent a person from another company to take care of the problems. He fixed one issue but said that I needed a transformer. He said to call him when I got the transformer, and he would put it in. I called him and said would be out later that day and call before he comes out. No show that day or the next two days with no phone call. I called the company to make an appointment and still no shows. When he came finally came after I called and made another appointment, I then was told that I needed a new inside doorbell. Also told me to make an appointment with Best Buy. First time I was told that I needed to call Best Buy. Made an appointment. Marian from Best Buy called and asked about issues. I told her and that I had an appointment. She said to call her if any more issues. Someone from Best Buy came out and said that I needed to call an electrician. Nobody else ever said that I needed to do that. He said that he would let his supervisor know all the problems I have had. He wasn't gone 10 minutes and I got a call from Marcellia at Best Buy. She was also very apologetic and to call when done and they would sync everything. Got everything done. If I have another problem with the security cameras, I would not have the other company out. They would not come out, call if there was a problem about coming, tell me that I needed to make appointment thru Best Buy or tell me that I needed an electrician. I sat and waited many an hour for them. Even when I called the company, I seemed to get a run a round. No one could give me any answers. When Best Buy got involved, I had all the help I needed. I would recommend Best Buy and the Geek Squad but not the company that they sent out to do the job.

Lily was excellent. She knew what she was doing and was extremely knowledgeable. She answered our questions and was patient with us. She is awesome- you couldn’t get anyone better to do the install.

The geek squad came in to install the ring floodlight and the ring doorbell. The person who did the installation was very competent and competent. He walked us through the app helping us configure it both on an IOS as well as an Android device. He spent tome helping us set up the system and to optimize the positioning as well as the sensitivity. No mess and no mistakes. Very satisfied with the service. If you are someone who doesn't have the time or maybe not the inclination for installation I wound highly recommend the geek squad.

The agents were prompt. They placed a cloth on my stoop before beginning the install. They quickly installed the doorbell and assisted with the installation of the software on my phone and tested to make sure everything was working correctly before they packed up to leave. They were very professional and knowledgeable. All my questions were answered. The agent recommended I get a Ring Chime Pro to extend WiFi because I did not have an existing doorbell. Excellent customer service.

The installers came on time and actually helped with the set-up of the Ring after the install, great job!

He was very helpful and polite. He and I decided the best place to mount my camera. He showed me how it worked and where the sensing area was. He was very nice, polite, helpful, and efficient.

had my ring installed quick and easy service. i had another camera i wanted install i brought from bestbuy i had already called beforehand to see if it was ok to install customer service said yes no problem. but the geek squad agent was trying to make it a big deal like im scamming or trying to get over i just said dont worry about i just put my other camera in the window...

Kevin does an awesome job with installs. He called ahead to explain the new procedures because of Covid-19 precautions. He was using all of the proper safety protocols when he got here and throughout the install. He took time to explain to me up front everything he would do and then walked me through it all once it was installed. Since it was a Ring doorbell, he wanted to make sure I liked the overall appearance on the wall as well as the camera scope. I appreciate how thorough he is!

The agent mounted my tv in a difficult location...neatly secured all cords so they can't be seen...connected all devices...tested everything...gave excellent instructions...it was a very professional installation.

It is installed and working. The first guy couln't finish the job because the doorbell was not fully charged. The only issue was it took a week to schedule the second guy to finish the job. There should be a different system in place for follow up work vs new work.

They connected my ring doorbell. They did a pretty good job. It was a somewhat quick job. They were great at communicating before they arrived for the apt to let me know timing. They did get a little frustrated with how the house wiring was set up, but overall they did a great job. They were friendly & I would use again.

Installation had some minor hitches, but it works on both our smart phones. However, the main reason I bought the Nest video doorbell and the Echo Show 5 at Best Buy was to control it via the Echo Show 5. When I told the installers that the main reason I bought the products was not working, they asked me why I bought the Nest and then said that I should exchange the Nest video doorbell for a Ring video doorbell. They said it was working on our phones and that their install was complete. I signed off on the paperwork because it was obvious that was as far as this was going to go that day. I am a Geek Squad annual maintenance agreement customer and a long-time Rewards customer and am very disappointed in this service. I reviewed this before and requested that someone return and activate my Nest video doorbell on my Echo Show 5 as was originally intended.....so far, no follow-up from Best Buy. :-(

The agent who installed the video doorbell kept running into problems. A screw was stripped on the back panel that took him over an hour to get off. He had problems getting the screws to go in my vinyl siding. I suggested he use anchors. He then lost two of the screws he needed. He looked in his truck and could not find the right screws. I looked thru my screws and could not find the correct screws. I finally started cleaning up all the papers and screws he had on the floor and steps, and I found both of the screws he was missing. I do not know what he would have if I did not find them. He was a my home installing the video doorbell for about 3 hours or more. He was very polite and friendly, but not well organized. He mentioned on the way out that I change the battery from the bottom, but did not show me how to do it.

I purchased a second generation Ring Video Doorbell along with a wedge. Without an existing doorbell, vinyl siding and steps leading up to the door, I figured I could spend a day doing a terrible job with the installation or call the Geek Squad to install and set up - so glad I did. Easy Peasy - did a great job and didn't upsell but made recommendations on how to extend wifi and what I may ultimately want to do. Great job by them and no stress for me!

The geek squad installer was amazing. Not only did he do the setup of the ring doorbell, but he also linked it to our echo dot and echo show. He went above and beyond when he helped explain our nest thermostat to us, and helped us to download the app and set that up also. He was very courteous and explained everything.

Our driveway is blocked from our view. we hade some vandalism late last year that cost just under $500. This is what prompted us too get a Ring device. We're very happy with the performance and the clarity of the picture.
