If I could give -0 start, I would. Horrible experience. I was charged for a service that I did not receive, nor did I receive an apology. A confirmation email was sent, I waited all day for a tech to arrive and no one showed up. HUGE disrespect of customer time. I had to drive to the store to inquire. An employee rescheduled, and the same thing happened…the tech did not show up. A Best Buy employee kept canceling my appointment with no notification to me and no explanation to me. All parties involved need to be FIRED.

I can't rate the product since it still hasn't been installed by Geek Squad yet, but I will rate the Geek Squad. Along with this doorbell, we purchased 2 of the Ring flood lights with the cameras. As such, Best Buy said we had to schedule 2 separate appointments: one for the door bell followed by one for the flood lights. Ok, I guess that makes sense. Don't know why the RIng Geek Squad Bell techs are trained to install all the Ring products, but that's a question I still didn't get a straight answer from Best Buy on. Door bell installation was scheduled first. The doorbell installer said we need a new wire since the original wire is a door bell wire is a telephone line and would not suffice for guaranteeing continuous monitoring. So, suffice to say, it was not installed. When that spot light tech (the 2nd tech to visit our home) came to install the Ring flood lights w cameras, we asked him about the door bell wire. He said the door bell wire is fine but we need an upgraded transformer so we are able to capture continuous video without any issues. Needless to say, it's still not hooked up. Have been trying to contact Best Buy over the course of the past several weeks to straighten this out but with no luck. Will probably wind up going there in person and opt to switch for the battery operated Ring door bell since the Geek Squad Techs have differing opinions and can't provide the right installation advice. How about those Geed Squad Techs! Maybe training might help so the whole Ring Geek Squad is on the same sheet of music and is actually able to CORRECTLY diagnose what needs to be done so they can make a wired Ring Door Bell WORK for their customer! Just Sayin'! Just a thought!
