Had 3rd party installer. Very rushed and wasnt helpful answering questions. Actual geek squad installers are much more knowledgeable and willing to spend the time answering questions

The geek squad guy seemed knowledgeable but the camera on the doorbell doesn't cover very much and is very blurry at a distance and especially in bright daylight. Can't really see in the street after dark either.

Excellent product and the installation by an expert.

So, I had a nest doorbell installed, the guys came out and hook it up with very minimal problems. It worked great for four days, then I got a notice on my watch telling me that it no longer was connected. We toyed around with it, ultimately had the guys come back out who then told me that it needed a new transformer. The transformer, is somewhere up in my attic her them and since the attic accesses too small, they told me I would need to get up and at the transformer. What??? Him, I don’t think this is the service I paid for,I will be calling the geek squad back to get this hooked up the right way. Until then, two stars is actually being quite liberal and generous.

The installers knew what to do and did it quickly.

I think the Doorbell will work. My concern is when it was installed the installer said it would take 24 hours for the ring to work properly. It was sort of working but not fully. Not sure that is the proper way for a product to work...wait and see.

I have had video doorbell installed twice by the Geek Squad. Both installs were a total failure. First time I could not see who was in front of the door, and the chimes made a constant sound like a motor running. I was told it would be a week before anyone could come to address it, so I returned the doorbell, Later, someone told me there is a wedge that could be installed as well as a piece that was supposed to be installed inside the chime box to prevent the noise. So I bought another Google doorbell and scheduled another install. This time they put the wedge in, but REFUSED to install the chime connection. The result was that the chimes rang every few seconds whether anyone pressed the doorbell button or not. The installers could not correct the situation. They tried to say it was because of my home’s wiring, but they could not explain why it had not happened with the previous video doorbell, (only the constant motor sound), or why it did not happen when the original doorbell was reinstalled. My home is only 12 yrs old and the wiring is perfect. So the Geek Squad blamed it on Google and said I should buy a Ring doorbell instead. Bottom line is they totally botched both installs and both doorbells have to be returned. It’s proof positive that the Geek Squad does not know what they’re doing.
