    YOU HAVE TO QUESTION THE INTELLIGENCE WHEN SOMEONE INSTALLS A RING DOOR BELL THAT NEEDS TO BE CONNECTED TO AN ELECTRICAL WIRE WHEN THERE IS NO ELECTRICITY AVAILABLE.

    The nest hello to a while to get everything working. I do like it a lot n a lot. n The images are very clear. It is nice to know who is at your door, and be able to see them on your cell phone or i pad.

    Blink doorbell install

    Although the technician did a great job installing the blink doorbell, he was extremely late. He was supposed to arrive in the morning and did not arrive until around 4:30 pm. He did not call until just before arriving and did not give a reason for being so late. I had to stay home all day waiting for him to arrive. This was totally unacceptable and very unprofessional!

    Geek Squad provided a subpar installation

    I was disappointed in the install. The first Geek Squad measured my doorbell transformer voltage incorrectly causing completion of the install to be delayed a week while I personally replaced the transformer. The install was not smooth with the electronic module installed such that the cover of the doorbell was left jutting out - I fixed this myself. While one of our two Apple iPhones was linked ok, our second phone still is unlinked since the Best Buy installer had to leave to take care of business elsewhere.

    Installation scheduling issues

    I am highly upset at the fact I scheduled the installation appointment at the time of purchase 6 days before the appointment (7am-7pm). I stayed home and waited and waited, I called at 10am to get a time frame, they acted as if I didn’t have an appointment scheduled which I read to her the email. The phone rep stated she would contact the technician department, they would call me back. 3 hours later, no call. When I called back, the guy tells me, I need to reschedule. Someone needs to do quality control checks on appointments and returning phone calls to ensure Total Tech members and regular customers are being serviced adequately.

    Best Buy used a 3rd party vendor, not Geek Squad to install my Ring Doorbell. The vendor failed to install my Ring doorbell and in turn, botched my existing doorbell where it’s no longer operable. It is almost 4 weeks and Best Buy has not resolved my concerns or situations. I have made repeated calls and escalations to their customer service and last resort to their corporate executive last week and still no response. I asked for an immediate resolve. I have always valued my Best Buy relationship over the many years; however, very livid and disappointed in poor customer service that I have experienced.

    Ring Doorbell Installation

    The technicians were unprepared for the job. They installed the doorbell too high so I can’t see packages left by my door. I marked a place on the brick where I wanted it installed and spoke to them about it. They didn’t use all four mounting screws so it’s not as secure as intended. These guys appeared to be subcontractors. I would never recommend them although I’ve always been happy with the Geek Squad. I do recommend Geek Squad.

    Occupation: Business Owner. I called to schedule an appointment with agent Donald "D.J." Oakes once he returns from leave/vacation on September 06, 2022. "DJ," Travis and female agent install our home theater. "AWESOME" job with the install of our home theater. DJ, Travis, Female agent and Scott made us feel "VALUE." Our home theater works great. I requested "DJ" and Scott to install our doorbell. Mark showed up. I ask Mark where is DJ? I requested DJ to do our installed. He called DJ and Scott. I AM REFUSING SERVICE FROM "MARK." FOR THE FOLLOWING REASON: OUR DOORBELL IS NOT WORKING,MARK DISRESPECTED OUR HOME BY ASKING WHATS THAT SMELL, WHICH AGENT YOU PREFERRED. MARK SAID HE WOULD ORDER US A NEW DOORBELL TO REPLACE THE ONE HE INSTALLED. WE NEVER GOT A NEW DOORBELL. WHERE IS THE NEW DOORBELL. I SAW ONLINE THAT THE NEW DOORBELL HAD ARRIVED AT BEST BUY. BUT WE NEVER GOT THE NEW DOORBELL. IT IS HIGHLY REQUESTED NOT TO SEND 'MARK" TO DO ANY REPAIRS TO OUR HOME. "MARK" DID NOT MAKE US FEEL "VALUED" AND "MARK" DISRESPECTED MY WIFE AND I AND OUR HOME. DISSATISFIED CUSTOMER.

    VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE SERVICE CALL.

    Not one but two men in separate trucks came to install the ring doorbell. They looked at the box and instructions and asked a few questions about our doorbell. Then they looked at the insert and told us that they may not be able to hook the ring up as our doorbell transformer was too old and not adequate to support the video. The one man did look at the transformer, took a picture of it, showed a comparison of what our transformer looked like to what a more up-to-date one looks like to be able to support the video feature. He apologized for not being able to complete the service, told us he wouldn't be charging for the visit and left. My husband and I were not happy with this outcome and called our alarm service for advice and scheduled an appointment for second opinion. The technician came, evaluated the product and told us he could hook it up no problem. He also explained to us that he didn't need to hook it up to the "antiquated doorbell" as the video feature runs on our Wifi. Please check into this issue and make sure these service men did not bill you for the visit. They were very pleasant but so very wrong. I would hesitate to recommend the Geek Squad after this encounter.

    The technician that put up my ring camera on 8-1 was not experience at all. My husband basically did the work for him. Did not have his proper tools. My ring camera was reinstall on 8/30 a different technician was professional, knowledgeable and prompt.

    The Ring Doorbell was installed and rings on the outside, but is not heard inside of the house. I also get notifications on my phone.

    The representative installed the device in less than 5 minutes. It is a shame to pay $100 for 5 minutes worth of work.
