    This was the worst buying experience ever. I wanted to have everything installed and the geek squad never showed and called to alert me that they wouldn’t show up. Then I called the help center 4 separate times to try and get a new appointment and never got responses even though I was told multiple times that they would ensure that I get a call back. After 5 weeks of no responses and no calls, I went to the store and the general manager said it was out of his control. I will never buy another product from Best Buy as this was the worst customer service I have ever received. Buyer beware when purchasing something from Best Buy that you would like to have them to install the product. Customer service was absolutely TERRIBLE. I got a refund and took my business elsewhere. I guess the only positive is that they honored my request for a refund after waiting for something I purchased 5 weeks ago.

    After the install, the chimes don't work and we get a message on the phone saying installation incomplete.

    My install was cancelled the day of the install due to illness of the technician. Waiting for install to take place next week.

    Paying more to fix a mistake

    The techs came and mounted and “installed “ the doorbell , however mount before we could scan QR code for set up. Then took off with the box and the tool to take off the faceplate so we could set up our doorbell. When I called total tech they told me I would have to purchase a replacement piece as no one was able to get through to the tech who installed the doorbell. So I was left with a non functioning doorbell for days and not even so much as a return call back after leaving messages with the tech. Not to mention the tech also threw my old doorbell in our yard and left my porch a mess, thankfully I found the doorbell before we cut grass and it got launched into my window or at someone. I had to purchase the tool to be able to take the faceplate off so I could set up my doorbell. Extremely disappointed in the customer service and the service of the third parties being sent out for all my recent jobs and total tech has been a huge disappointment as well not at all what I was expecting or hoping for.

    Appeared to be an outsourced service provider who didn’t seem pleased to be doing the job. After two hours later than outer bound of promised arrival time.

    the guy that came was not professional, didn't even ask how I wanted it. by that I man installed a face plate with out asking ( that I didn't need on) was on the phone confirming his personal appointment while installing my camera. main reason why I'm leaving this review is because he installed it and when he left it started making a weird noise, the ring will ring when no one is their and when some does ring the door bell it does not ring and if it does it happens minutes apart. I looked into it and it said the transformer it not compatible with my ring I need a higher voltage. I wish he would have said something about the transformer, (I mean you would think they know what they are doing the reason why I paid for it to be installed) now I risk my house catching on fire or having to change out all my wires. also had to make a new appointment and they had no idea what the problem was....

    This is my third time trying to write this review - Best Buy continues to remove it because clearly they don’t believe in transparency when it’s negative. In short ... just hire your own services. Don’t use Best Buy because it IS NOT CERTIFIED GEEK SQUAS TECHS that we all know and trust. This is the second time I’ve bought an install where they sourced it to a local 3rd party, with no credentials , etc. They horribly messed up the job and when I contacted for refund and help, after 5 different calls , almost half dozen transfers and over 4 hours later of phone talk and wait times , they tell me they aren’t responsible but I need to contact the 3rd party who did the install. Needless to say, I emailed corporate and got a much different reply. I won’t ever be hiring “geek squad install” again because some local random person. Buyer beware , I’m not just some angry customer - this is real and has now happened twice. Be careful, hire your own help.

    Very Confusing

    Very confusing. Does this ring bell work with my existing mechanical doorbells ? I spent a lot of money to have them install this ring bell. That I should have been able to install myself. Told I would recoup some $ by turning in my modem & roter to Verizon & rid myself the monthly fees. UNTRUE.

    Normally i love the Geek squad. This time, the cords are so tight i can’t dust under receiver,modem, or even vacuum. Remote to tv doesn’t work reliably. 2 tv Wall mount install and staff wanted to hurry and go - proper instruction in using tv wS limited and no instruction manuals. I’d call to complain but you would charge me $49.00 so instead i complain to all our friends and neighbors. Not satisfied.

    Could of been a lot cleaner

    Couldn’t get the doorbell to ring(make the DING sound inside the house). He removed the regular doorbell button that had been screwed into the wall but didn’t place the new one over the same spot, leaving the two holes visible. And the wires running to the new doorbell are also visible. My buddy had the same job done at his house but alot cleaner

    Geek squad cancelled their appointment with me more than 6 times. It took almost 2 months to get it installed correctly. They are supposed to give me a partial refund for the inconvenience but it still hasn't been issued and every time I call they say they will expedite it and I will hear within 24 hours but they don't contact me. They say it's my bank's policy to give me my credit on the next billing cycle but that's not true and other refunds or credits happen same day. They charge me same day so they should refund me in one day. At one point they couldn't work their computer and had to cancel my order and start over again. They had me return the wired Ring doorbell for a wireless one. Terrible way to do business. I spent over 40 waiting for appointments that didn't happen and over 27 hours on the phone trying to get it straightened out. Finally got it installed and I like it but I shouldn't have been put through that.

    The specialist wasn't that knowledgeable of the product install. They were very friendly, but I had to help and make suggestions for the installation to work.

    I was hoping the installer would spend a little time helping us learn how to use the RING doorbell. He was very blunt when he said all he does is the install. We still don't have it set up for my husband's phone and will be calling Geek Squad for help shortly.
