    Ring doorbell installed but not working properly

    I had to fix it myself. Maybe it is the ring app’s fault, maybe not... I seem to have fixed it. Doorbell never worked after installers put it in. I had to go read about it and fix it myself.

    I didn't mean to live a negative review, it was all my fault, I had a ring security system rather than a door bell ring so it could not be installed because it's not what I needed or wanted. Totally my fault.

    Very Unsatisfactory. The Best Buy installer used the screwdriver that was in the Ring Doorbell box, to screw in the small outside screw and he kept it. He should have left it with me. Also, there are two black screws that holds the inside of the Ring Doorbell together and he did not install the screws so the doorbell is loose. It is necessary to secure the Ring Doorbell to the door frame with tape.

    I never got it installed!!!! After several failed attempts to have it installed the company rescheduled me several times and when they did contact me I waited 12 hours and the installer was a no show! Horrible and I would never recommend the installation services of Best Buy!

    I didn't care for the ring door bell because of the monthly charge and asked the representative to think of another solution. I do remember receiving an update.

    Best Buy rescheduled my install date last minute

    I purchased services to install a ring doorbell and security camera. A day before install (when I made plans to stay at home) they sent me a text rescheduling the services to be installed separately on different dates (both of which I was unavailable). After calling, they were unable to send someone the day originally scheduled and were happy to issue me a full refund, at which I was able to install ring myself in less than 30 minutes

    I purchased the Google Nest Display in addition to the nest doorbell and cameras. Geek squad relayed cameras out of the book don't work. fine. then installs the doorbell and doesn't add this to the Nest Display. So half the expected service that I was promised. Frustrating, so I now need to spend my time figuring it out, this is what I was trying to avoid. or return it and just use the phone app. disappointing.

    The technician was great, he originally installed the doorbell and fixed the problem in less than five minutes. This is what created my issue with Best Buy for being charged $130 for him clicking a button on my cellphone to fix the problem and they refused to compensate since now they charge Total members for home visits.

    The guy that installed it had no idea what he was doing. Because of him we had to have another electrician come out and had to spend another $700.00 to have it done correctly.

    Install went fine, but ring doorbell went dead within a few weeks. We got the Geek Squad to come out after telling them it was broken and I figured they would replace it. They told us we actually needed to set up a second appointment to have a replacement put in. When I contacted Best Buy to do so, they told me I needed to unisntall it and bring it back to the store. Total waste of time.

    I originally asked Geek Squad to install the doorbell along with other Ring items because they did a very nice job hanging TVs. While trying to install the (wired) ring doorbell, they shorted out my home doorbell chime, and the Ring doorbell didn’t work. I went through a long process to get their insurance company to resolve the issue…still not satisfied. I ended up buying a new Ring (battery) doorbell and installing it myself.

    The purchase and installation on Nest Gen 2 doorbell was not good. The first unit purchase couldn't be installed by the Geek Squad technician because the unit couldn't connect to my iphone. Plus I was charged an installation fee but the doorbell was sold with free installation and doorbell can't be added to my Nest screen. I have to go thru Google

    The outside company did a terrible job. Didn’t finish the installation of the doorbell camera and the 2 thermostats. They said that the internet signal was weak. My wife and I finished the install after they left. We have a Wi-Fi signal boost which we bought from Best Buy. Geek squad installed last year and works fine. They showed up late and said they had another job to do. They rushed out. This wasn’t the Geek Squad.

    This was a poor experience from start to finish. It took 3 visits to finally get the doorbell installed ... each due to screw up on the part of your telephone appointment service, your scheduling the wrong people to do the install and even the management made errors in the process. You should get rid of the 3rd party service arrangement and hire folks who know what they're doing on your phone service.

    THE TECHNICIAN WAS ACTING LIKE AN ADOLESCINT JUMPING, AND COMPLAINING THAT THE ORDER WAS INCORRECTED WRITEN. HE WAS WILLING TO DO ONLY PARCIAL INTALLATION OF MY ALARM. SO, HE CANCELLED THE SERVICE FOR ME. i WAS SURPRICE BY HIS BEHAVIOR AND SERVICE.

    Installation was not complete and the agent checked it off as complete and I was still charged a $99 fee. Installer indicated he could not connect the chime connector therefore I had to have someone else install it for me. Again I was still charge for an installation fee
