    Failed Install by the Experts

    The video doorbell installation was never completed. The installers found that the doorbell got extremely hot to touch. They tried different wired doorbells only to find that every one of them got too hot to touch. So, I don't have the Ring Pro2 doorbell and have two mounting holes in my stucco wall where my regular doorbell is located.

    If there were a minus setting, I would use it. I paid for a piece that could not be installed and was never given a refund. Also the RING doorbell could not be installed by the Best Buy third party/ I had to get someone else to do the work. Have tried to contact you every month since the end of January, 2020 in regard to this. I will NEVER purchase from Best Buy/GEEK SQUAD again. I am sure you will not post this negative review.

      This certainly does sound like a frustrating experience, and far from the level of service we expect to provide our customers.     Very poor phone service told ne i would get a 20$ gift card in the mail for my inconvenience never got it ......

    BEEN ON HOLD FOR HOURS TRYING TO RESOLVE BILLING

    The service never happened and in trying to call and have it credited I've been on hold for hours and my credits have still not been resolved. I placed an order on July 9th for another video doorbell. I did curbside pickup and I believe they marked the service items as completed when they were actually not completed. Trying to correct the mistake by Best Buy and have it credited back to my account has been a nightmare!!!!!!

    No show/no call for several appointments

    Several appointments were scheduled and confirmed in advance and no one EVER showed up or called on those days. I am wheelchair-bound and had to hire someone to come sit with me all day on each of the appointment days, all for nothing. I canceled my entire purchase and had the Total Tech Support plan canceled and refunded.

    Did Not Get a Ring door bell installed

    Did not get a ring install but was charged for it! Have no idea how it got coded as a install. You did come out because my Nest thermostat would not connect to my new phone I also bought from you. I feel this was a software problem. The guys that came out were friendly, helpful and fixed the problem.

    Geek Squad never shows up

    No one ever shows up for these appointments. Two appointments first time they called at 9pm to say they were on there way for an apootnennt that was scheduled from 12 noon to 7 pm. Today was my second shot and no one showed up but somehow the service was marked as complete. The BestBuy Total Memeberahip seems to be turning out to be a real loser!!!

    Was told specifically if I bought a doorbell transformer, they could install it if needed. They could not, and said it was strictly prohibited

    The "professional installers" could not figure out how to make the doorbell work,they also could not figure out how to bill me (for something I was told was covered) I made the doorbell work myself later.

    It was not Geek Squad that did my doorbell - it was a third party that Best Buy uses and they are not well trained or knowledgeable enough to do the job right. They had to come to my house so many times I lost count -they just could not get it right and I was totally frustrated

    Worst service ever. Guy left here telling me that he couldn’t finish install because I needed a new Wi-Fi. My wife was working fine for everything else so why not the ring doorbell. I have reported it and have had no response from Best Buy. I’m very disappointed in your service b

    I knew I was in for a bad experience when my Mom called me about the instillation. The technician asked her why he was called to my home. Needless to say I received multiple phone calls about my smart doorbell install and it is still not completed. I finally to my Mom to let the technician know I would reschedule. His response was, “I hope it’s not on Saturday because I have plans.” I am still waiting on a return call from the Help desk.

    Needs to show up on scheduled appts

    Scheduled me twice and cancelled the day of on each scheduled visit. First time they acknowledged it and gave me a discount on a product. Not sure if it's the branch in Rivergate lacking or if it's system wide unprofessionalism but it's a total inconvenience. Typically, they are fantastic, so I have hopes that things can improve.

    Geek Squad 3rd party Oscar Gonzalez showed up 3 hrs late both days then did not show up at all on the 3rd day. He installed both my ring door bell and camera wrong. Let's just say that Geek Squad needs to get better people working for them.
