If you schedule an in home installation at the store when you buy an item, do not rely on the appointment being received by the installers. Call the installers and verify the date and time directly with them.

The Nest Smart Doorbell, installed by the Geek Squad, is an excellent addition in securing my "Smart Home." I personally appreciate the ability of the recognition feature of the system. It can actually tell me the name of the person ringing my front door regardless where I am, in or away from my home. The Nest camera view is the best available.

Agent was professional and courteous. I was lucky to get one that was an electrician and he was able to connect the doorbell to my chime. He also connected it to google home.

I could have installed this myself but I am sure glad I had the Geek Squad install it. They knew how to ensure the existing doorbell transformer was sufficient to handle the ring doorbell i.e. 16 volts is required. I don't have to worry whether I had installed it correctly. Geek Squad was professional, friendly, and efficient!

Installer arrived on time, as scheduled! He completed the install that would have taken me all afternoon to complete in less than 30 minutes. He took additional time to walk us thru making the connection to our phones. Money well spent!!

I can comfortably open my door free of feat that there may be someone dangerous on the other side. I am also aware of everybody that comes to my door even if I am not home.

I recently purchased a Ring Video Doorbell, but I've noticed that it only rings outside the door and not inside the house. When I had a technician come to install the bell, they informed me that an additional box is required to make it ring inside. Unfortunately, the salesperson at Best Buy neglected to mention this crucial detail during my purchase. It seems that the name "Ring Bell" may be a bit misleading in this case. -

initially had a scheduling issue with the first company subcontracted by best buy as they failed to show up or contact me. best buy resolved it and sent another contractor. installed doorbell and were helpful

The contractor (installer) was very prompt and knowledgeable. Communication before (to confirm the appointment and any prep) and during the installation was professional and timely.

This was not Geek Squad but a third party that Best Buy uses. The agent did not install the Ring Doorbell properly. Had to come back twice. First, it had video then didn't work so he cut more wires then left before we could test it out. Had to come back second time because the doorbell doesn't ring. This third party rushed through the installation and didn't test it and left abruptly. I would recommend using their own Geek Squad not a third party. So beware when a third party is assigned.

The geek squad was fantastic at best trying to install the google nest door bell. They had a hard time getting the software to recognize the door bell. We ended up returning the hardware. Thanks Geek Squad for multiple tries to install the door bell.

The first doorbell installation was in January. That was excellent. I also had hue lights, motion sensors,and alexa installed at the same time. The second doorbell install was on March 6, 2020. I had problems after that with the chime ringing continuously without being pushed. So we had to disconnect the chime. Due to the covid 19 protocols, we were without doorbell ringing until November. The problem was a short in the doorbell coming into my kitchen from the garage. This one was mistakenly handled by the agent when he was supposed to be using a wire outside the garage for the second ring doorbell. Now I have the expense of have another wire installed for the doorbell.

Really pleased with the overall functionality of this product but needed a second agent more knowledgeable of how the Ring System works. We are still having an issue keeping the phone connected but are able to review and get notified with WIFI. The alarm went off all three of us got a call. It is like being in our home while we are out!

I purchased this for my dad since I was worried that he wouldn’t be able to install it himself. I live in Texas and my dad is in Ohio. They were able to set up an install with him and it works beautifully! Definitely made a tech gift easier for someone who isn’t comfortable with DIY install.

The agent called and let me know he would be arriving earlier than expected and asked if that was ok which was great! He was quick, efficient, and went above and beyond with installing my Google nest!
