I've used my new Foodcyler 3 times, so far it is performing well and filling a void for some of our food waste. I have several raised vegetable and berry beds and use a outside recycling bin with 2 compartments, but often have too much food waste for a proper nitrogen to carbon ratio, also, I am not comfortable adding meat to the outside composter. This foodcycler fills a need. I have put leftover tuna and shrimp cocktail in it and always toss in a few pieces of egg crate or cut up paper bag to the mix to keep it from getting too soupy. It is a costly piece of equipment and I feel fortunate to be able to own one. I feel confident that it will last a good long time with the Vitamix name.

Ever since I bought foodcycler it has changed my kitchen and honestly my life. I don't throw away even a fraction of what I used to throw out, there are no odors in my garbage ever and no fruit flies. Me and my husband garden every spring and summer, and we use the fertilizer material in the garden soil and it's DOUBLED our tomato yield. You put in your food scraps like chicken bones and leftovers and veggie peels, press start and then in about 6 hours you come back to this amazing, dry dirt-like material. it doesn't smell so you can store it, or throw it out. The company is really helpful and down-to-earth (haha get it!). Overall, amazing experience. I told my mom about it and she got one too and loves it.

We have had one of these for 2 years, purchased direct from the company. It works great, once you figure out what does and does not get mulched up. There are 2 tips I'll pass along: coffee filters do not get shredded enough in the system; and if you put in a whole fruit (like an apple), cut it into quarters, or it will likely not grind up. I can highly recommend this system.

Useful compact &, efficient just a little small for a family of four. It does not take a countertop sized bucket of scraps and things like corn husks and peels cause it it to get stuck. I don't know about you but I don't want to spend my time cutting up scraps

Love this. Dries and crushes leftovers. No bad smells. Relatively quiet. I add it to my garden soil when prepping my soil for planting. First time doing this but I am hopeful that my veggies will be happy. Dry easy to use and It’s a nice clean design too!

I love this machine. It is quiet and convenient. We didn’t realize our food waste amount until we started composting. I highly recommend it.

I would give zero stars if that were an option. Lid does not lock in place so the appliance never works.
