After years of having an Oster blender I upgraded to a Vitamix 2500 because my old blender died from age and not being able to handle everything we’ve been throwing in. After a little research we decided to splurge and bought the Vitamix 2500 to make smoothies and juices because we heard so much about Vitamix blenders. Best Buy helped us right away and we were able to get a great deal on our blender by using our points from previous purchases which made the price easier to swallow. So far it’s been great, my kids love the smoothies and I love the green juices. It does take a little experimenting to figure out the best formula for blending, sometimes it’s a straight blend and sometimes I have to pulse a little before I blend but it chews up what you put in. My kids keep asking to make smoothies all the time, and I don’t mind since we’re using fruits, vegetables and plain yogurt to make them, which is so much better than what’s out there since we control what goes in. The downside are: the price, fruits and veggies can get expensive and depends on the season. It’s also kinda loud (which might be scary for little kids). We haven’t tried the other functions yet but making ice cream is on the menu! Although the price is a bit high, It’s a premium upgrade and a great machine, I’m glad I got it because of the family time and the kids getting involved with the preparing which is nice.

Ok, this is for those who makes smoothies all the time for multiple people. It is pricey, so if you are the occasional user, I would pass. Great power, presets works great. It takes some time to achieve the learning curve for developing recopies for the consistency you like and how much you actually pour out. Very easy to clean too.

This blender is amazing!!! I read the reviews before purchasing this blender, and they were all positive with the downside being that the blender was loud. Granted, the blender is louder than your average blender, but it's also more powerful. I've only been blending smoothies in it (almost daily) so I have yet to use all of it's features. My other blender (which was only a super low level Ninja blender) would leave all kinds of chunks in my smoothie because I put things like kale and oats in my smoothie, but those kinds of things are child's play for this blender. It's pricey, but you definitely get what you pay for!!!

My wife and I had a high-end 2-HP "juicer" that pulled all the pulp out of everything you run through it and just gives you raw juice, a lot of nutrients are gone in the pulp that you throw away. Not what we wanted. A total waste of $ and good raw nutrients. The healthy way to do this instead, is by making "smoothies" with a top-of-the-line Vitamix Blender. This is the same unit you see at many health clubs, at their smoothie bars. This baby makes the best smoothies, and I mean smooth! Put some chia seeds and kale and ice and coconut water and your favorite fruits or veggies and this baby with pulverize EVERYTHING, including seeds, into a smooth and tasty, healthy drink, wasting absolutely no nutrients. This is eating "RAW" at its best. We love our new Vitamix! Plus it comes with a 10-year Factory Warranty. Worth every penny. The last blender we will ever need to buy.

Best buy has the most excellent products. Very powerful and useful machinery. It surely endures alot. The material might be made to endure longer time. Its fantastic love it

I love this blender , It is so powerful and does wonders in my kitchen!! My family has burnt up many a food processor and blender. I was tired of replacing all the less expensive brands and bit the bullet and purchased this one, should have done it years ago . Vitamix is more expensive but think of all the money I would have saved if it was my first blend and not my last!! It is a bit noisy but worth the noise ,put a towel under it (helps a little)

This blender do miracles! I was hesitating to spend so much money on a blender. I had always bought another brand. I took time to review best blenders in the market. Indeed head down to this Vitamix 2500. Hot soup in minutes! Blend everything to liquid. Even when you add frozen spinach to a shake, you will never tell. Truly a miracle to see a real blender this powerful. It worth the money! Not to mention that it have 10 years guarantee. So glad I make and investment in this blender.

I have wrestled with Atkins, WW and all of the normal diets and finally decided that I needed a balanced approach to improving my nutritional life. The Vitamix is one of those things that I will use for the rest of my life. It has taught me how to eat whole foods. I do it a little different with the greens...I eat them more in wraps and use the vitamix for other vegetables and fruits in smoothy form. Being able to throw in unskinned kiwi's and other whole fruits increases the fiber content...you can't do that effectively with other blenders. As compared to a juicer, the vitamix gives you all of the fiber, which your body DOES need. I do find that I eat hardly any meat and tend toward more plant based eating. Many aches and pains have gone away and I am finally losing inches. I also now buy tomatoes rather than cans of tomato sauce. It tastes so differently. You soon realize how fake processed food is. I do tend to purchase as much organic produce as I can find. Best $500 I have ever spent!

I blend one to three times a day. I used to buy Ninja blenders and I thought that Vitamix is overpriced. I couldn't be any more wrong. Ninja commercials brainwashed me. In comparison to Ninja, Vitamix blender produces 10x smoother smoothies and soups in less time and effort. I was surprised how quiet Vitamix is, at least for a blender. I've used Ninjas and Bullets before, and the Vitamix is the quietest. I love the 10-year warranty.

I had a Ninja that couldn't liquefy almonds and the motor started to act up so I decided to go for this despite the cost. Now I only wish I had bought a Vitamix originally. This thing is so powerful and can the job done with anything I throw at it. The quality of the blend is phenomenal, I'm left speechless. Vitamix buyer for life now. I also had the individual cup size blender and they work like a charm as well. Got the white one as it goes great with my white granite counters.

This blender is amazing. Blends so quickly and efficiently. It is definitely on the louder side but my newborn baby doesn’t mind it so you shouldn’t either. I bought the auto detect blender cups package as well and it’s so simple to use.

excellent product but very heavy. Must measure height of each model as they vary and my 17 inch almost didn't fit under my cabinets on my kitchen counter The 18 inch would definitely not have made it easily. Product is made to make successful smoothies with all types of consistency ingredients . Good to buy the accesories kit also.

This thing blends everything! Works great. Haven’t an any issues or lack of power. Blends through everything I have thrown at it.

I consider the Vitamix blender a lifetime purchase. I love the fact that I can now blend all types of smoothies without worrying about seeds! I was a little worried about the noise since I live in an apartment building, but I haven't had any complaints. I would recommend putting the base on a thin dinner mat to muffle some of the vibration sound on a counter top if you are using the blender earlier in the morning.

Works great. No need to baby sit it and cleaning it is extremely easy. Making smoothies has not been easier. Great purchase.

I’ve been wanting a Vitamix blender for the longest time! Finally got it :) This is the best decision I have made in a long time! If you’ve been thinking about getting one, don’t hesitate. It does what it says, and then some! Smoothies are better than ever! And yummy ice cream! Easy cleanup! And if you’re worried about the money you’ll spend...don’t. It’s well worth it and has a 10 year warranty. Love it!!!

Man does this thing pack a punch. It's not cheap but it's also something you aren't going to need to worry about having to replace in a year or two. Vitamix is known for their quality and they deliver in spades. From sauces to soups to the smoothest smoothies you'll ever drink this thing delivers. With the smart-sensing bases from Vitamix it takes away a lot of the guesswork as well.

This was the most costly blender at Best buy I believe, I enjoy it but it might be a little too big for what we blend, just takes up unnecessary space. But it works so nice. Blends everything so nice especially liquids, the texture is so smooth, if you have the money and the storage definitely recommend.

Great, powerful blender. Upgraded from an Explorian (that never let me down) so that we could use a food processor and mixing cups. Expensive, but you are buying a Cadillac blender, expecting it's a worthwhile investment. Blender and food processor are great, unfortunately the base is not recognizing the cups. we're replacing the cups. I have some trepidation about the blender only working when its computer base works. I wish there were extensions for the Explorian line!! So far enjoying the powerful motor on this one

Best investment I have ever made for my health. I highly recommend this product to anyone who blends fruits and veggies or makes anything at home for that matter. Amazing!
