I have owned several high-end blenders within the past few years, but my new favorite is this Ascent 3500. I had been using the 2500, but the 3500 is a step up. I love the modern look and feel with the touch sensitive buttons. Yes, the Vitamix models are a lot more expensive than other brands on the market, but there is a reason for that. You just cannot get the same quality and finely blended meals with the others as you can with a Vitamix. In the end, it is definitely worth it. On top of the that, you get a 10-year warranty for peace of mind. In our household, our main use of the blender is to make baby food. We like to make smooth, yet plump, apple mixes and squash mixes for our baby. Instead of buying processed baby foods from the store, we felt it was healthier to buy our own ingredients and mix it at home. With regards to smoothies, they come out so fine and clean with no signs of any chunks. My favorite feature of the 3500 is the ability to use Bluetooth to connect to the Vitamix app. There is a large collection of recipes on the app and extra features to finely tune blending sessions beyond what is on the face of the blender. There are quite a few different presets on the app that will send the commands to the blender via Bluetooth. For example, there is a ‘baby food’ option on the app that we use. Once selected, the blender will mix accordingly without having to manually adjust any time or speed. Overall, you just can’t get any better than a Vitamix and the 3500 is a great chef-quality unit.

Can't imagine a better blender for serious foodies

I have owned a previous model of a Vitamix blender (now donated to another family) as well as a mid-to-high-end blender from a different company. Until now, I was never sure whether the higher price of a Vitamix blender was actually justified. But, after using the Vitamix A3500 blender for a while, I am thinking it is worth the price. It is a beautiful machine that does a fantastic job of blending, Furthermore, the support from the Vitamix company is fantastic. The short "Start Here" guide is actually useful, explaining how to clean the blender before first food use (there is a button dedicated to cleaning), and suggesting how to layer different ingredients for a smoothie (there is also a dedicated smoothie button). My first smoothie came out perfectly. It is nice to have several preset buttons for different purposes along with the option to manually turn the variable-speed dial to different speed settings for durations of my choice. You can program the timer for the length of a blend or (more wisely, I think) simply watch the timer count up. With a blender this powerful, you might not need to blend as long as you think. The blender also has a pulse function when you need only very brief chopping/blending. The blender comes with a beautiful blending recipe book for beverages, sauces/dips/spreads, soups & salads, batters & doughs, baby foods, and desserts. I will definitely be trying many of them. And the Vitamix website also provides great support, ideas, and special bargains.

Not typical Vitamix quality and overpriced

Vitamix undeniably makes some of the best blenders available on the market. In short, I wouldn't highly recommend this model unless you're looking for specific features that the other models don't have. I'm very familiar with the more basic and traditional Vitamix blenders with very few features. However, they get the job done very well every single time. This specific model goes after shiny new features with the buzz of smart functionality but with poor delivery and loss of the true Vitamix quality. Set up: unboxing and set up Took about 15 minutes. I think it's very useful to really read through the manual and understand the features of this particular model and how to use them appropriately. It takes about 5 minutes to get it linked to the app. Initially, I wasn't sure how useful or necessary the app was. Once you get used to its features and how to incorporate it into daily use, it can be really cool. Overall, I think its a cool additional feature and not a must have. Design: This is one of the high points of this blender. It looks high end and sleek. You have the option to select through a range of colors. The buttons have a good feel and appropriate sensitivity. This was a big switch from the knob and switch style of my original Vitamix. The knob also has a great feel with appropriate sensitivity. One of the best things about Vitamix is the quality of the container. I have dropped them numerous time and accidentally dropped this new one onto hard floor already. The don't even scratch easily. They are high quality and not too heavy, not too light. The size is a little bit more compact for the motor size than I was expecting, so you may be able to keep it on the counter like I am. I do wish they included a longer cord with a better way to store the cord. Blending function: Now to the most important part. How well does it blend? I'd say it's about 70-80% as good as the more simple Vitamix models. The preset features and smart functionality are nice add-ons and updates to the line up but I don't believe the are refined enough. The manual mode doesn't exactly solve this problem either, not in the way I was expecting. The modifications to the manual mode have altered to level of control you have and it doesn't seem to function the same way as the analog versions. I tried most of the preset functions twice. The milkshake feature was probably the most inconsistent. With all the settings I used recipes I've consistently made with my older model. The milkshakes would come out with inconsistent viscosity, especially when I added more ingredients like fruits or desserts. The soup function was generally good and consistent and I was able to make creamy tomato and pea soup without any difficulty. Smoothies were generally very good but the same recipes would produce different results sometimes. The dips/spreads feature is the most useless in my opinion. I tried making my regular salsa recipe on multiple different settings before switching to manual. Manual produced the most similar and consistent result but it was more difficult to obtain than in my basic, older model. I used the frozen dessert setting once to make sorbet and that's it. Self cleaning: A useless additional feature. This blender has always been easy to clean and I can pop it in the dishwasher. It's nice to have but not needed. Overall, if you really want the shiny new features and sleekest look model, this is it. I don't think this model's price tag is justified and that there is better within the brand. At the end of the day, this will get the job done well and much better than almost every competitor.

The Mixer is great and very quick and efficient. It grinds large quantities within minutes. I love the machine. The only reason I give it 4 stars is cause its a heavy machine

You really can not beat this Vitamix. Nothing else compares with the quality, look and power. Having been a Vitamix owner of one of their older models for 5 years, I know the brand is reliable and built to last as my old unit still functions great. I wanted this unit for the updated features such as Bluetooth and the ability to add an attachment to turn it into a food processor. The look of this unit is very sleek and looks great on my counter. As expected, performance is great. It actually runs quieter than my old model. I am really enjoying the integration via the Vitamix app and the Bluetooth. Pick a recipe and you can run the blender as recommended for that particular recipe. I have had some great results especially with shakes, smoothies and my favorite which is the bacon cheddar potato soup. Overall this is a great blender that does more than just mix drinks. You will not be disappointed with this model.

As soon as you take the Vitamix 3500 out of the box, you realize the build quality is through the roof. There is a heft that screams quality materials. And that feeling is supported by the 2.2 horsepower motor. And it looks like it could belong in any kitchen. I love the presets for smoothies, soups, etc., and the LED display is a plus, as well as the touch controls. It cleans up very easily, as well, by just putting some water and soap in it and turning it on for a bit to clean up after most jobs. This is one high-tech blender. It uses NFC to communicate between the pitcher and the base so the base knows whether there is pitcher present or not. The 3500 is expensive, and the big question is, is it worth the price? From what I've heard, a Vitamix will last a lifetime. If that's the case, and I have no reason to believe it isn't, the Vitamix 3500 is a bargain.

    Best Blender

Vitamix makes the best blender. I have never had a problem blending or pulverizing anything I put in this blender. What I like about this mixer is the other attachments you can add to it. I have the food processor attachment and it works far better than my previous food processor. Having multiple attachments saves space in my kitchen. This Blender and food processor attachment (it was sold separately) uses less space than the two appliances I had previously. The blender automatically adjusted and senses what is attached. Touch screen display works great!.

I would give this item if mine came in perfect condition. The first one had paint peeling off, seemed like a manufacturer defect. The replacement came with a scratch, at this point, I just avoided to go back and exchange and it was hassle. It blends.
