When you turn it on and it starts blending blender turns it’s not docked properly tight. Not a tight fit. The smoothies blend very well though.

We only rarely were using it maybe once a week. It is a large investment to only have it work properly for about half a year. Better off buying a less expensive blender if it’s only going to break so soon.

Broke after about 9 months

Posted .Hi, we are very sorry to hear of your experience. If your Vitamix shut down while you were blending, it is likely it temporarily overheated. Sometimes the machine may emit a burning odor and/or stop temporarily because its thermal protector sensed that the machine was close to overheating. If this occurs, we recommend turning the power switch off for up to 45 minutes, allowing the machine to cool down or reset. To avoid overheating your machine in the future, be sure to ramp the machine up to the highest speed within five seconds of turning it on to activate the cooling fan in the motor. If and your machine is still without power, please call us at 1-800-848-2649, so we can best assist you.
