When you turn it on and it starts blending blender turns it’s not docked properly tight. Not a tight fit. The smoothies blend very well though.

Power, Precision, and Style: Vitamix Blender
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had the Vitamix Ascent X4 Blender for a while now, and I gotta say, it's pretty impressive. This blender has been a great addition to my kitchen, and I find myself using it almost every day. It's got a sleek black stainless steel finish, and it looks really cool on my counter. The design is super modern and fits right in with my other appliances. It's sturdy too, so I don't worry about it moving around when I'm blending stuff. When it comes to performance, this thing is a beast. It has a 2.2 HP motor, which is super strong and can handle almost anything you throw at it. I've made smoothies, soups, and even frozen desserts, and it does the job perfectly every time. There’s no issue blending tough ingredients like kale or ice, which was a problem with my old blender. Everything comes out smooth and consistent, which is what I expect from a high-quality blender like this. The blender comes with a 48-ounce BPA-free container, which is a pretty good size for most of my blending needs. Whether I’m making a small batch or a larger one, it works well. The container has a soft-grip handle, so it's easy to hold and pour from. I also really like the tamper that comes with it. At first, I wasn’t sure if I’d use it, but it helps a lot when blending thicker stuff like nut butters or frozen desserts. The tamper even has a little spot on the motor base where you can store it, so it doesn’t get lost. One of the coolest things about this blender is the touchscreen and the preset programs. There are five preset options: Smoothies, Frozen Desserts, Soups, Frozen Cocktails, and Dips & Spreads. These settings make it super easy to blend different recipes without guessing at the right speed or time. Just select the program, and the blender does the rest. The timer feature is great too, so you don’t have to stand there watching it blend. You can just set it and walk away. Another thing I love is the variable speed control. It gives me a lot of control over the texture of whatever I’m making. If I want something chunky like salsa, I can use a lower speed, and if I want something smooth like soup, I can crank it up. The pulse feature is handy too when you need a quick burst of power. Now, let’s talk about the noise. This blender isn’t the quietest out there, especially at high speeds. But with a motor this powerful, it’s kind of expected. The noise is there, but it’s not unbearable, and considering how fast it blends, the noise doesn’t last long. One of my favorite features is the self-detect technology. It automatically adjusts the settings based on the container size, which is super helpful when you’re using smaller containers that you can buy separately. I like that I don’t have to worry about adjusting the settings manually, especially when I’m in a hurry. Cleaning this blender is also a breeze. It has a self-cleaning feature that works really well. All you need to do is add some warm water and dish soap, and it cleans itself in less than a minute. The container is dishwasher-safe too, but I usually just use the self-cleaning feature since it works so well. And because the blades are fixed, you don’t have to worry about taking them apart to clean them, which is nice. If you make smoothies, soups, or frozen desserts regularly, this blender is going to last a long time and give you great results every time. Vitamix even offers a 10-year warranty, so I’m confident this blender will last me a long time. One thing I do wish, though, is that the container was a bit bigger. My old blender had a 72-ounce container, and this one is only 48 ounces. It’s not a huge deal, but if you’re making larger batches, you might need to do it in two rounds. Vitamix does sell larger containers separately, though, so that’s always an option. Also, the blender is a bit tall and doesn’t fit under my kitchen cabinets easily, so I have to store it on the counter. That’s just a minor inconvenience, though. All in all, I’m really happy with the Vitamix Ascent X4 Blender. It’s powerful, easy to use, and easy to clean. Plus, it looks great in my kitchen.

Quality. Power. Easy to clean, easy/fun to use.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been using Vitamix blenders a few times a week for more years than I want to remember given I work in a kitchen, and if I can sum up my thoughts on this unit in a few words they would be, “it will do everything you want or need, do it very well, and last for many years.” Specific to this unit, I am very impressed. Everything is well-built, solid, seals perfectly, and just “feels good.” The base has some weight. Some good not moving around weight. Stable. I really like the container size, not only just with regards to volume (48 oz, which is reasonable), but also shape and height. It is a little stouter than I am used to. I don’t really have a lot of counter space, so while the base has a little bit of a footprint, that its height comes in a “little bit” lower gives me a “little” more play in where I can store it as an entire unit. Beyond that, the screen is very clear, the dial has a nice feel and it as well as all of the buttons are responsive, intuitive, and easy to understand. Admittedly, it is taking me a bit to get used to the lack of physical buttons, but that is more of a muscle memory thing specific to my experience. Lastly, the inclusion of an attachable tamper holder is a nice add. All in all, zero complaints with the hardware. For me, while a fair amount of this unit is familiar, the styling is not, as it is clearly geared towards home use…and I think it looks great. All black. Clean. Simple. Some may say plain, or boring, but it Is perfect for me. They do also offer a couple of other color choices. That said, I do think the all black would work in just about any setting. So, generally, it has the build, and the looks, which of course is important, but where this blender really shines is in use. It is extremely versatile, with much more power than I think you will ever need. It can get a tad loud, but a lot of that is not the blender itself (it does have some noise), but rather the materials it is bending (blending?) to its will. New to me are all of the blending programs, the digital timer, the tamper indicator, and the add 15-seconds button. While I haven’t gotten into more than a few smoothies and a killer batch of loaded baked potato soup (ok and some drinks) so far, I think these are all really nice value adds. I lean heavily on the pulse and especially the variable speed and they have been perfect for me. I am looking forward to getting into a lot more, especially with fall arriving in my area with (hopefully) some cooler weather. Also new to me is the self-cleaning program. I love it. As is, everything is easy to clean on its own, but this added bonus (to me) is welcome. I, sadly, do not have a dishwasher, so any help is appreciated, even if I just use it to assist in what I typically would do. Vitamix does include a fairly nice little recipe book for those looking for inspiration or something new. Lastly, this blender is designed to be part of what Vitamix calls their self-detect system. I had never heard of this before, and it is pretty wild and I think a fairly innovative system where they offer a few different compatible containers and attachments that the blender…self-detects and allows you to use. Clearly this unit is somewhat of an investment, and these accessories are more of the same, but given I think this blender will last for some time, I like having the option to increase its usefulness. Less useful, but more fun, they also offer containers in a few colors as well as stainless steel. In the end, I really do like this blender, and I am very happy with it so far. It is extremely versatile, works very well, is built very well, and is easy to use as well as easy to clean. I like having a little peace of mind that it comes from a reputable brand in the space, carries a solid warranty, and should last for many years. The option to possibly expand the system is nice, even if I never decide to, and while it does come at a slight premium, I think for the quality you get and all that comes along with it, the value is there.

Top Notch Consistency and Taste
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The biggest reason I was interested in this was the 10-year warranty. Upon first unboxing you can feel the quality of all the components here. The container is high quality plastic that feels solid and is safe to wash in the dishwasher. The base is surrounded by metal. They have rubber components to help reduce noise and keep everything sturdy on the counter. You can tell a lot of thought went into it just from the little quality of life things you find along the way. But what I like the most is that the gear on the blender itself and the container is metal. Making it so that breaking is unlikely. Which I would think is a common failure point most blenders. The motor is supposed to also be excellent. But I don’t have a way to quantify that. As for the performance. Its excellent. Noise gets to a max of about 90 – 92 dB with full power (100 dB with my Ninja) It had no issues pulverizing anything that I put in it. And it does a great job where I haven’t found any chunks of anything. Unlike with my Ninja that I was using prior where I usually get tiny morsels of spinach or fruit that wasn’t fully smoothy-ized. Consistency is also right on the money and better than the Ninja. Also, like how you can manually adjust that as your making something to make thinner or thicker depending on your preference. Self-detect also works great at adjusting automatically based on what it senses. If I were putting ratings to them on premade modes (smoothy). 10/10 for this, 8.5/10 with the Ninja. However, if you are doing anything custom or doing adjustments that is where you will see a big difference with the Vitamix. The price difference there is crazy. But this is certainly a superior product. But only you can decide if that difference in price is justifiable or not based on what you’re using it for. If just premade modes, then probably not worth it. If you are going to be doing it for a lot of different things and/or doing customization then it is likely worth the investment. Additionally, if you are fully satisfied with your current blending upgrading is likely not going to net you a huge increase in satisfaction. Not that you’d regret it. But this is certainly an investment. But that 10-year warranty helped justify it for me. Comes with a 48-ounce container that is well made. Has a rubber handle. Pours nicely. Easy to clean. Twist top that allows access for the tamper. The tamper does not reach to the blades, so it won’t be damage when using. Rubber base. The tamper itself is just lightweight plastic. Does have a little holder that attaches to the side. Can be put in dishwasher. The self-cleaning function works well on cleaning this almost all the way. Navigation is simple. The buttons are touch, quite sensitive along with a large circular knob that feels good. You use the circular knob to rotate to the five different blending programs (smoothies, frozen desserts, soups, frozen cocktails, dips and spreads). On the right you have an add 15 seconds button in case you need a bit more. Start stop is on the bottom right. You can also do things manually if you so wish on the left side. Pulse in the bottom left. The display is nice as it will count down the time along with show you what power setting it is on. I like that if you don’t have the container on the base then it won’t start anything as it shows no container on the display. It has good heft to it while also being relatively low profile. Everything also just feels SOLID. Recipe book is simple but gives a lot of ideas. Comes on nicely printed paper/booklet. There is an on/off button but it is hidden on inferior right hand side. Which I was not aware of. CONS: I hate doing this but I really don’t have any except for the price. As it is very expensive. But arguable the price is warranted and worth it depending on what you’re using the tool for. Accessories for the most part are reasonably priced. But others are quite expensive as well. But when you’re going for premium that tends to be the case.

Great blender but only for a few months.
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This blender WAS amazing until the motor broke 5 months into using it. We only rarely were using it maybe once a week. It is a large investment to only have it work properly for about half a year. Better off buying a less expensive blender if it’s only going to break so soon.

Buy elsewhere!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought blender online and received an 'open box' that did not include any of the instructions or recipe book for this complex blender. Was passed through 3 chat AI reps and three live BB agents (1 hr. + of time) to try and get these written materials but no one could help. So decided to return and buy from another vendor. An Amazing Blending Experience
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Vitamix, a brand known for its premium quality kitchen appliances, continues to deliver blenders that appeal to both professional chefs and home cooks. At first glance, the Vitamix Ascent A3500 impresses with its sleek and modern design. The stainless steel blades are laser-cut and designed for durability, and the jar is made from BPA-free plastic, which, while not as durable as glass, is much lighter and safer for everyday use. One of the best elements of the A3500 is its self-cleaning function. After using the blender, simply add a drop of dish soap and some warm water into the jar, and the blender can clean itself in under a minute. This is an invaluable feature for users who blend regularly and don’t want to spend too much time cleaning up. The Vitamix Ascent A3500 boasts a 2.2-horsepower motor, which translates to around 1440 watts of raw blending power. This level of power allows the blender to handle just about any task you throw at it. One of the areas where the A3500 truly excels is in its ability to pulverize tough ingredients like nuts, seeds, and ice. Many cheaper blenders struggle to achieve a smooth texture when processing fibrous vegetables or hard ingredients, but the A3500 effortlessly blends them into a silky, consistent finish. This is particularly evident when making green smoothies; kale, spinach, and other leafy greens are processed down into a drinkable liquid without leaving any fibrous chunks behind. MY favorite recipe is 2 bananas, a cup of spinach, a cup of frozen blueberries, and a bit of water. An amazing way to start the day. In addition to the variable speed control, the A3500 also comes with five pre-programmed settings: Smoothies, Hot Soups, Frozen Desserts, Dips & Spreads, and Self-Cleaning. These programs are designed to take the guesswork out of blending; simply select the program you need, and the blender will automatically adjust its speed and blending time to achieve the perfect result. For busy individuals or those new to blending, these settings can save time and ensure consistent results. The pre-programmed settings also help with multitasking in the kitchen. For instance, when making a smoothie, you can select the smoothie program and walk away to prepare other ingredients while the blender does its job. The result is perfect every time, without the need to monitor or manually adjust the blending speed.
