The Vitamix E310 blender is a straight forward machine. Surprisingly quiet motor housing is a pleasure to use. The controls are simple: ON/OFF, PULSE, speed control dial from 1-10 . The large capacity, 48-ounce plastic blender jar is light, sturdy and engineered to mix the content from the bottom to the top and through the center back to the blades. I wish I could show a video of how well the vortex works when pulverizing flax seeds into a more digestible powder for making breads. (I imagine making peanut butter by leaving it blend a little longer!) Next I will tackle making soup just with the blender! It also mixes batter for pancakes, instant puddings, margaritas and smoothies quite well. The speed control really shines here. From a steady mix to a powerful crush. The pulse button is great, a paddle style switch. The lid is soft vinyl with a removable see-through cup that doubles as a measuring cup. It is easy to add items while blending. Also the opening for the included push paddle to aid mixing bulky items. The unit is solid with a heavy-duty grounded three prong cord. Cleaning is accomplished by first rinsing under the faucet, then adding a drop of soap with some water and running the blender with the lid on. Rinse clean. The blade doesn't come out which may save a few fingers from being cut.

Straight out the box I was able to put together and blend a smoothie. Super easy to use. With it's simplicity, you lack options. overall, I love it. I'm sad that it doesn't come with multiple container sizes and the 40 ounce that it does come with is a little small. However, I've noticed that for the things I use it for, smoothies, dips, it actually makes just enough. so I've over looked that size, plus I can fit it in my fridge if I have left overs and don't want to switch containers to store. I like that the container easily sits on the base. no need to sit and adjust to lock. easy on. easy off. warranty is 5 years. good but not great. great amount of power. the dial goes from 1 to 10 and there is a pulse and on off button. simple again but you have to read the manual to understand which level makes what. kinda confusing but I go on what im making and what it should look like. level 10 is plenty powerful. the black color is typical and good for any blender. it comes with a tamper. I've never used it but looks handy on certain stuff. just another thing to clean and it doesn't come with a tamper holder. so I just put it up and i'll bring it out, only if necessary. I don't think this blender stands out from other high end blenders but if you do decide to buy this blender for whatever reason, I'm almost sure you wont be disappointed. it does a great job at blending. comes with tamper. stout base but decent container size. super easy to use and store. if you want a blender with programs and different sizes and options, this might not be the blender for you.

This was my first experience trying a Vitamix. Just looking at this Vitamix Explorian Series E310 model blender, you can see how well it's designed. Performance didn't disappoint either. Gee whiz, this Vitamix blender is one powerful machine! I'm sold. Now I get what all the fuss is about. Take the time to review the simple instruction booklet. Although it's pretty basic, fully knowing how to use this machine will save you any "oops" later. It also came with a little recipe guide, which I read over in order to ease into using the blender, and tried some of the recipes out. As the instructions caution, make sure to place the base unit on a flat, sturdy surface, away from anything you don't want to get jostled, such as glassware. On the Variable Speed Dial's highest setting of '10' this blender's powerful motor is working full throttle, and you not only can hear that, but also feel the mighty vibrations. Follow the steps, as directed, when adding ingredients into the blender container in the order as listed in the recipe and/or instruction booklet. Even after trying out this awesome blender, I still don't quite get how to use the Pulse feature. However, I did make some yummy Corn Soup, following the recipe in the book. Before trying it, I was doubtful about the claim that "the friction of the Vitamix blades transforms cold ingredients into steaming hot soups and sauces in less than 10 minutes - no stove required." But ... it really does work! Again, pay attention to the enclosed instructions with regards to the care and cleaning of this amazing machine. The blade assembly does not come apart! Be ever mindful when using the Tamper during blending, and only use the correct tamper to fit the size of your blender container. Make sure the container sets squarely on the centering pad, and that the lid along with the lid plug is in place, then you're good to go. Some notable features - the power cord is heavy duty, as are the rubberized lid and lid plug, as well as, the blender container itself - and even though it is made of plastic, the plastic isn't thin, brittle, or flimsy feeling like you'd expect to find on the more lower-grade, inexpensive blenders. You definitely do get what you pay for when purchasing a Vitamix, and this Explorian Series E310 model is totally worth it.

Wonderful, perfect product! I’ve got those other tiny portable blenders before, they all wear down as time goes by, and just really a pain in the as. This one is like a perfect size for two people at home! Way easier than those portable ones to clean Must Have One

Well made and powerful blender like other Vitamix. It is not heavy. Relatively quiet. Very easy to clean. Lid plug is round and big unlike other Vitamix, if you have small hand or arthritis, you will have difficulty to open the plug.

This is my first Vitamix blender and just by the mention of the name my friends would say “That’s a nice blender.” This thing is no joke. Everything I have thrown into it gets whipped up like nothing I have seen before. With the included food plunger I am able to ensure that everything is pushed through to give a smooth consistency without fear of hitting the blades. It took me a couple of tries to get the consistency that I am used too on smoothies and frappes, as top speed usually resulted in a milkshake smooth drink. However, the milkshakes came out perfectly blended. I am thrilled to have this blender as what used to be a plain evening with ice cream is now a mix of custom designed milkshakes.

Product works as advertised. Very powerful and easy to clean.

Full disclosure: I received the Vitamix E310 (Model VM0197) in exchange for a fair and honest review. I have only used this a few times, but so far, the E310 represents exactly what I like in a product of any kind. It is solid and looks & feels very well made. It is simple and elegant in design. It is very intuitive to use. There is an on/off toggle switch, a momentary toggle for pulse blending and a variable ten speed control in the middle. It comes with two booklets including initial use and some recipes. Very well presented and well written on first look. It also includes a tamper for pushing solid ingredients into the blade assembly. I started out with an initial cleaning as directed in the booklet. The blender starts out very slow and quietly on the 1st speed setting. As I rotated the speed selector, the motor sped up quickly. On ten, this blender goes FAST! Wow! Although it is very quiet on low speed settings, it does wind up pretty loud on high speed. Don't crank it up when someone is trying to talk on the phone or sleep. That speed and power should blend just about anything. I like to crush ice for drinks and decided to see how the E310 handled ice, I removed the lid plug and turned the blender on at medium speed. I then slowly dropped the ice maker cubes into the blender. First one, then a few more and then the rest of my scoop full. I very quickly had the perfect base for a snow cone! (or a Mint Julep). It was perfect! My daughter-in-law loves to make smoothies and I can't wait to see her put this blender to use. The mixer comes with a 48 oz container, but 64oz tall & short containers are also available. As well as several accessories. The mixer has a 5 year warranty which is pretty much unheard of in small appliances and even most large appliances these days. Given the solid feel of the construction of all components, I suspect I won't need to use the warranty coverage. It feels like it will run for a very long time. I have known about Vitamix blenders for perhaps my entire life, but I have never owned one until now. I would definitely recommend the E310 to anyone who wants a high quality blender without going all the way to the $500 or more level. This is very well built and for me, it is well worth the investment over the typical cheap home blender. I expect to get many years of good use from this blender.

This blender appears simplistic but is very well made. It operates quietly and works better then another brand name blender I own. The blades combined with a powerful motor, blend anything with ease. I have only made a few smoothies and soups so far but it performs great! The only negatives are the speed dial feels a little cheap due to lack of resistance and the container doesn’t lock in place like another blender I own. Despite the lack of a lock, it stays in place and hasn’t come off during blending. I highly recommend this blender if you make a lot of smoothies or are looking for a high quality, well made blender that will last for years.

This blender is fantastic. It doesn’t have a lot of confusing electronics and modes that nobody ever uses anyway like some other brands, it just blends like its supposed to and it does it perfectly. It has lots of power and a very rugged, durable design. Clean up is a breeze. You dont have to take everything apart to get it clean. I highly recommend this blender to anyone!!

Ive been using this to make smoothies and soup for years now. Still holds up well if you take care of it. For cleaning just blend soapy water and scrub out with a clean paper towel or sponge

This blender is strong, easy to clean, and is very well made. I’ve made smoothies, soups, dips. Well worth the investment to get a blender you know will last years.

We love this blender! It really holds up to using it twice a day for smoothies. The smoothies come out super creamy. It is quiet and easy to use. It was pricey but worth it especially with the 10 year warranty on it. I am so glad you carry it at Best Buy. Vitamix has come a long way with their products! They are made in Cleveland OH. Good investment.

This Vitamix Blender is a Good product. Manufactured quality appears to be done well. Although the plastic housing in and around the three pronged plug, I feel should have a little more material around it, with regards to reinforcing the possible future durability of the plug ? I am well satisfied with the overall design, ease of use and cleaning of this Blender as well. I believe it is made in the USA .Thank you.

I’ve had this blender for over 3 years and have used it nearly every day. I’ve had zero issues with it and there’s nothing this blender can’t blend. It’s a powerful, heavy duty blending machine. Every other blender I’ve bought until this one would start to leak or the the motor would burn out. There’s nothing fancy about it, it doesn’t have a ton buttons or modes. It’s just a quality blender that I hope lasts a lifetime.

I am glad that I finally pulled the trigger on this blender. I can’t even explain the difference in blending between this and what I had before (Ninja). The consistency isn’t even comparable, zero separation even after sitting. My smoothies become whips almost. It’s also easy to clean. I am in love.

I’ve used several blenders before, but the Vitamix E310 is on a completely different level. I mainly use it for smoothies, protein shakes, and meal prep, and the power is impressive. It blends everything smoothly — even frozen fruit, ice, and tougher ingredients — with no chunks left behind. The consistency comes out perfect every time. What I really like is how solid and durable it feels. You can tell it’s built to last. It’s also very easy to clean, which makes it even more convenient for daily use. I was hesitant at first because of the price, but after using it, I can honestly say it’s worth it. If you’re serious about your nutrition, fitness, or just want a high-quality blender, this is a great investment. Highly recommended. I use it daily for my protein shakes after running/training.

This blender is great. It has one job, to blend - and I would say it does that very well. I've used other blenders before, but they incorporate air and don't create the velvety texture Vitamix is known for. I've used it more for soups and nut butters than smoothies. In was worried the plastic would stain from tomato soups, or there would be scratches from making nut butter. Although the plastic isn't "crystal clear" anymore, there is virtually no staining.
