Customers are saying

Customers have good things to say about the overall performance and power of the Explorian E310 Blender. They appreciate that it is easy to use and that the noise level is minimal. The size is also good for fitting under a cabinet. However, some customers would prefer a removable blade and a container made of a different material than plastic.

This blender doesn't do anything extraordinary for the high price they charge for it. I was expecting a more culinary arts type of machine even though I know it's for smoothies and juice primarily. It's good for someone who wishes not to handle blades as there is nothing inside of it. Very frustrating.

A very simple, no frills blender

The Vitamix is a very simple blender, . . . and that's not necessarily a bad thing. I was dismayed when I first opened the box and saw how big the base was. It definitely takes up some significant real estate on the counter top. The pitcher looks positively teeny tiny in comparison. My concern ratcheted up a notch when I saw how simple the controls were. A pulse switch, a dial to control speed (with nothing but numbers on it), and an on/off switch. Where are the pre-programmed settings? Where are the built-in timers and calorie counters? What do you mean this won't automatically post my smoothie recipe to Facebook? Then I turned it on. WOW. While not silent by any means, this blender is much quieter than most of the blenders I've used in the past. The noise increased significantly as I cranked up the blend speed, but at the lower settings it was just a dull hum. Despite the relatively quiet operation, the blender did a great job of converting the oranges, pineapple slices, and banana that I tossed in into a breakfast smoothie. Cleaning the blender gave me pause as nothing on the box seemed to indicate if it was dishwasher safe. Ironically, the guidebook's cleaning instructions make it clear that they assume that you'll clean this with a dishwasher. The book did offer a good tip for cleaning it without a dishwasher though: put a little soapy water in the pitcher and run the blender for a bit. It's a simple enough notion, but it honestly never occurred to me. I was all set to cut my hand to ribbons trying to clean the blades with a sponge. Their method makes a lot more sense. It should be noted that the pitcher is all one piece. The blade assembly doesn't appear to be removable, and there is no rubber gasket to worry about cleaning / losing. Overall, the blender is very well constructed and feels solid. My only real gripe is that the pitcher doesn't lock into the base in any way. Instead, it balances atop four posts that only loosely hold it in place. I would not feel comfortable turning this on and walking away from it for more than a minute or two. While very simple and without frills, the Vitamix blender is very well constructed and functions well. I would definitely recommend this blender to a friend.

Had a lot of trouble with smoothies in the morning. Tampering every few seconds, motor would get stuck quite often. Kitchen aid mixer was this ones replacement. Kitchen aid model is far superior.

I thought getting a Vitamix would be the most amazing blender I've ever tried. I'm honestly not that impressed. I'd save your money and get something without the "name brand" because nothing has jumped out as special with this.

The Vitamix Explorian E310 blender is an amazing blender. This little unit has a lot of power and seems to be able to cut through anything with ease. My smoothies are coming out smoother and richer than with my other name brand blender, both are great units but the Vitamix definetly out-performs when it comes to blending power. I also like that the blades will heat up items you are blending after a few+ minutes of blending. This allows you to create a quick hot soup for yourself or a couple people, in under 10 minutes. Creating nut butters will be an added bonus too, I haven't had a chance to do so yet but I hear they work very well for this. There are so many things you can prepare with a Vitamix that you could use it for practically every meal in one way or another. This is my first Vitamix and from what I've seen of other units the overall design is pretty standard and easy to use. The included blending container does move a bit when you blend, it doesn't really click into place or anything, you just line it up with the gear and set it down. however when using at high power, if you are not holding the container, it will shift position slightly then stay somewhat askew to the base. It doesn't seem to give me any problems, even when not held on-to, so I don't really have a problem with it and it may be common for Vitamix unit's, I'm not sure. Overall I am very impressed with the Vitamix Explorian blender and will highly recommend Vitamix over other name brand blenders.

    Hands down...Best blender ever!

This is by far the best and most powerful blender you could ever buy...there is no doubt about it! When you first take it out of the package, I will admit...its not that impressive to look at. Black cube with a dial and 2 switches on it. But once you plug this thing in and turn it on, you will be amazed at how much power it has. I started out just trying to crush a little ice...something that some blenders have a lot of trouble with. Turned it on and literally within seconds it was crushed perfectly. Next I tried a couple smoothies with whole fruits and vegetables. Put a bunch in there, turned the thing up half way, and then slowly proceeded to work my way up to the highest setting. I am fairly certain this blender has more power than some cars. It very easily liquified anything I put in there. Finally, I wanted to try and make some homemade peanut butter. Once again, I was amazed at how quickly it turned a ton of whole nuts into a creamy peanut butter spread. Finally...the cleanup. It couldn't be any easier...put in a little water, a very small amount of dish soap. Turn the thing on, and it cleans itself. Or the manual says you can also pop the container in the dishwasher too. Overall, I don't think there is anything this blender couldn't blend. It has the most powerful motor in any kitchen appliance I have ever seen. The design of it isn't much to look at. But if you need a blender that is going to get the job done time and time again, just click "Add To Cart" right now and don't look back. You will be glad you did!
