Very powerful but the motor overheats pretty regularly.

I have had this thing break on me twice in the few years I’ve had it. I sent it in for repair the first time because the teeth underneath would not catch the blade. And even when i first got it new it would have that issue. Now its broken again after light use with the same issue, the blender goes off loud and the blade doesnt even spin. I owned a cheap $60 blender before this and it blended BETTER and the teeth were made out of rubber and never gave me an issue. I used the vitamix blender maybe about 8 times a year and it always gave me issues. Cant believe i spent so much money on this thing. Now that its broken again im not gonna bother repairing it. I’ll just get a cheap Ninja one or something.

Not worth $300, it doesn't spin sometimes.

From my experience using the vitamix, it is NOT as powerful as I would have loved it to be for $300. It should NEVER in my opinion not want to spin when it has one of the most powerful motors in the blender industry. However, it does....

Not a contender compared to E320 or 7500

As a satisfied Vitamix owner the E310 gets one star, not a good value from me. Their standard blenders have a stronger more durable motor not the 2.0 hp included in this. The standard container for home use, the 64 oz low container is not included and will cost $160 more. For the same money on sale the 7500 is a stronger, quieter and better built blender. Short warranty: Vitamix is famous for its full parts labor shipping both ways warranty service. But this does not have the 7 year warranty included with the E320 or the 7500 both of which may be had on sale new for less than this E310. I don't recommend the short warranty but if this does not matter to you then factory direct certified refurbs are just as good with 3 year warranty.
