The bass is nowhere as good as the older Visio sound bars w/ stand alone sub units. This is an excellent SB for the price... but, only as a replacement for built in tv speakers. Stick with the older visio sb's (sub separate) if the primary use is music.

Low maintenance sound quality

Just add to a large TV to give a nice sound quality. This is one of those "keeper" items that turned out to be better than anticipated. Has a lot of adjustments to suit tastes, but a little daunting figuring it all out. Once there, nice sound.

I tried first a sound bar with separate subwoofer but I didn't like the sound, it's kind of Created headache for me. I returned that and bought this all-in-one soundbar. Compared to its price it's doing a great job. I think beginners like me could very well enjoy this product. Its sound quality is very good. Reducing a star because of the complexity in remote operation. This actually satisfied my need, I recommend this.

Bad to the bass

I have two of these. This is the earlier version. The display remote is cool, very substantial feel and sits nicely on the stand. The sounds are clear and crisp. Preset EQ for, voice, movie, sports, game takes away the effort of figuring how much bass vs treble to use at the right time. It announces the preset function that is selected. I love this, which is why I own two!
