Smart functions stopped working after 3 months

I had trouble watching my favorite programs and the picture would just go out in the middle of the program. It would take about a half an hour for it to come back in again. It would do this repeatedly.

Since you have to choose Yes or No regarding recommending the product, I will say yes. It was the only one this size that the store had.

A couple things like the placement of the antenna, hills or buildings near your home, and other environmental factors could determine the channels that are and are not found by your antenna as well. I get better results on my I-pads when I stream.

Not overly impressed

This was purchased for our kitchen and I mostly watch shows via Wi-Fi. We have had this at least two months now and I still can't get many of my channels.

Volume is difficult to hear have to always try to find right balance. Can’t figure out how to add apps to screen and can’t find any help to do so.

You are not able to manually download additional apps, however new apps are added to the platform often. If you find there is an app you want to watch that is not on SmartCast you may be able to cast it using Chromecast or Apple AirPlay from your phone or mobile device. What They Don't Tell You

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.It would be nice if the home electronics industry kept people like me in mind -- an urban apartment dweller whose apartment building only has wifi in the common areas and who has a limited budget. I was getting along fine by plugging my iPhone into my 20 year old "dumb" TV. However, it has been acting strange lately and I couldn't watch MLB games on Apple+. So, I decided to invest in the latest technology. Big mistake! It wouldn't connect to my phone's hotspot, so I took it to a common area and used my building wifi to set it up. After several resettings of the wifi it connected to my phone hotspot. It took all of 30 minutes for it to use up the roughly 3GB that I had left on it. The picture was actually worse than my "dumb" TV. I tried Iinking it to YouTube, but every time I started to enter the code I would get an error message. I realized that I couldn't mirror Apple+ on it as advertised because the phone and TV needed to be on the same wifi, so my hotspot wifi wouldn't do. There are apps that enable you to work around that, but they cost about as much as a cable TV package. Finally, I moved it at one point and it blitzed-out and needed to be set-up all over again. This time it got completely hung-up loading the updates. That's the point at which I decided that I had had enough. Maybe in 10 years the cost of data will plunge and they will get all the bugs out of the system and I will get a smart TV then. For now, I am seriously consisting of getting an "old-fashioned" cable package although that still won't solve my MLB/Apple TV issue. It all makes me long for the days when we watched TV just buy turning it on.

The picture quality is ok but it doesn’t work without wifi. If you purchase this tv make sure you can connect it to the internet from its location.
