Piece of Junk
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picture is good but the processor and w-ifi modem are horrible. If you can finally get it connected to the internet, and that's a BIG "if", the processor is so slow you end up pushing the remote's buttons a second time because you don't think it registered the first time. Every once in a while it will connect to wi-fi, and it shows the strongest signal possible, so I know I can and should have a great connection (I have giga-bit service and I'm within 30 feet of the router). But this thing drops the connection constantly. Absolute piece of junk.

Great External monitor. Average smart tv
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The complaints about the tv not turning on and lagging are real. My biggest complaint is of the Smartcast interface and remote; navigation is clumsy. However, i mostly use this as an external/extended monitor in my home office or a music player while I work.

No Off Air Antenna
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Besides it working very slow, there is no antenna for off-air signals which is why I bought this in the first place. A post above says it has a digital antenna but when I scan for HD channels, I get nothing. Support was no help. They just said I need an antenna.

Posted .This model does have a digital tuner that is capable of picking up digital and analog channels when an antenna is connected. But you would need to connect an OTA (over the air) antenna to get a signal. Generally, in the TV industry, the TVs will come with a tuner so that you can connect an over the air antenna.

Great display, weak intelligence
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this because of the USB input and 1080 to use as a digital picture frame. It works fine with a small folder of pictures, but when I plugged in a flash drive full of photos (couple thousand), it got stuck on #26. The apps are ok. App assortment is limited, but enough. They added Disney+ a few months ago. Sound quality is pitiful. Absolutely terrible. Airplay 2 syncs well with all my other Airplay devices, but since the speakers are the worst I've ever heard, I no longer use it as a part of the whole-house music system. It takes a while to connect wi-fi. Don't think you're going to push the button and go straight to YouTube. It has to remember who it is and what it's doing before you can make it do anything. Overall, I'd say I got what I paid for.

Toxic Odor
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The TV has a good picture. Sound is weak, tin can and no bass at all. Will need external speakers or a sound bar. Tried 3 times to use it, but it stinks so badly with a noxious acrid Sulphur like odor. I cannot keep it in the house. I have aired it out for over a month in the shed and it still reeks. I own a lot of electronics, but this one takes the cake. The plastic used to make the housing is evidently poorly formulated. If anyone knows a remedy other than giving it to Goodwill I would love to know what it is.

Posted .Hello NotaBestBuy, new televisions may produce an unusual smell or odor when first turned on. This is due in part to the manufacturing process of components. Some of the electronic components are "coated" to prevent corrosion during their journey from the manufacturer to the home. When those components heat up, depending on how long you leave the device on, an odor can occur. This smell is not harmful to your health and it will dissipate.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the 2nd Vizio tv that has not gotten us 3 years. It died at 2.5 years. Out of warranty so they wont do anything. White and colored lines horizontally and vertically. Called vizio and they told me to throw it away. I cant believe i got just over 2 years use and thats it. Im guessing Best Buy wont do a thing about it either.

Terrible TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great picture but not a great tv. Kept freezing up. Remote is horrible... need to continuously press the buttons for it to work, even with brand new batteries. Doesn't p/u all antenna stations even though my previous TV did. Trying to cast from my phone is a nightmare. This option works great with my other TV, not so much with this one. Stay away from this. Not worth the headache.

Poor Wireless Connectivity
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Size was perfect as there are very few choices. We're using the TV in our kitchen only as a Smart TV, no cable. The wireless connection is terrible and causes interruption constantly. Not sure if there's something we can do to improve that, or if it's the quality of the TV.

Way too slow
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My dad bought this tv and I got to setup it up, as I am their IT person. Well, it is the slowest tv I have ever come across. The itty bitty button to switch the input is just silly, needs to be a bit bigger. Also, I setup this tv, so I know I had it connected to their wifi. They have not gotten anything new in their wifi and yesterday I was not able to get it to connect or recognize that there was wifi. This is NOT the tv I recommended he get anyway. He doesn't even use apps for tv on his large one in the living room. He just wanted the antenna. I had hooked up the wifi for me when I am over there. I have used it many times. I would not recommend this tv and I used to like Vizio tvs.

OK Fot the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picture is OK. The sound is worst I have ever heard on a TV. It sounds like the speakers are in a box and real tinny. The set-up was extremely slow and took two hours to update and scan for channels. There is not an owners manual included so you have to figure out all the controls on your own.

Posted .Hello Kmag, As televisions continue to have larger screens with thinner profiles and sleeker bezels, there is less room for large speakers. To help get the best audio quality out of your VIZIO televisions speakers, we’ve included settings like DTS Studio Sound to provide the highest performance possible, while maintaining the thin, sleek, bezel-less profile of your television. The television update during the initial setup can take some time but if you are using a stable network connection it should not take longer than a few minutes. If you have any questions about the function of your television please reach out to our customer support at support.vizio.com and clicking 'Contact Us' so that we can answer any questions.

Quality problems
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this TV to replace an 2 year old version of the same brand TV that was giving me various problems. The old TV would not always shut off or turn on. The power light would blink while you watched TV, very annoying, I had to keep unplugging the TV to reboot it. Even though the new replacement model was redesigned with buttons on the right side instead of left. It had similar problems. I| returned it and bought another brand that does not have as good of a picture but seems to work better.

This Not so Smart gets a Failing grade
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV was purchased because of its screen size, to fit in the kitchen. About a month after purchasing the Smart functions, Netflix, Prime... began to stop working, the home screen would just not appear. After doing a total restart it worked for about a week then trouble again. Found out online that this was a common issue and that a quick fix would be to unplug for 60 seconds for a "soft reboot". REALLY??? I have owned Samsung'sand have never had any trouble. Don't waste your money or time on this garbage tv.

Too Slow for Show
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a good bedroom office TV and I bought it because of the 1080p but sadly the menu and input switching are VERY slow in this day and age and I have fast internet right near it.

Strong chemical off-gassing
Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Off-gassing a strong toxic chemical smell. I read a Vizio response to a similar complaint saying up to 2 weeks for it to dissipate and that it is not harmful. I would like to see the research backing that claim. Would recommend that if you have underlying medical conditions, especially involving breathing, you may want to reconsider purchasing. I am currently keeping it out in the garage or on the porch during nice weather in hopes that the chemicals don't settle and stay inside the house. Or me. I will return if it is not gone in two weeks.

Run Away from this TV- it’s pure cr@p.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The picture looked great in the store.... but.... It is slow as molasses. It took a long time for it to load Netflix. God forbid you accidently exit out of Netflix, because it is going to take you a while to get best into it. On top of that, it has an issue connecting to the wi-fi sometimes because it says it is down, but that is not the case. Also, there are some screens that do not respond to the remote. From the hdmi input, I accidently hit the home button, but I could not get back to my hdmi input because it would not respond to the input settings button. It just ignores it. The only app out of thousand that is any good? Well, if they respond as slowly as the pre-loaded apps that mostly require a subscription, I’d say none of them. In response to another review, it’s like loading each menu/app through a 9600 baud modem. My 386DX was more snappy than this tv’s menu system. Which leads me to the audio. It is the worst audio I have heard on tv hands down. Watching tv in the 70s had better sound. My laptop and iphone have better audio. Don’t even bother adjusting the EQ settings. If you want to use it solely for video only, sure, why not. But it fails in every other aspect.

Doesn’t work well with Hulu
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After weeks of frustration got a service rep from Vizio on the phone and he admitted that there were bugs with their TV and the Hulu program that they were working on. Lots of freezing screens or just shutting down so I have to unplug the tv. Kept checking to make sure I had most recent updates downloaded on Tv. After 2 months, it is working pretty good. Still freezes up periodically but recovers quickly. I would not recommend this TV if you are using Hulu.

Poor processor; lags
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The software is poor, the transitions lag and the video freezes constantly. I have needed to reboot it 3 times because it freezes beyond the point of help. Audio very muffled as well, to really understand, the volume must be in the 70s or at least 60s. Overall unsatisfied.
