Never got it to work (not Best Buy's issue)

I have another one just like it and I love it. I set this one up and it got into a loop. Everytime I turned it on, it would look for updates, download and then restart. I couldn't get to the picture. I called Vizio and they started out very helpful. By the time we finished trouble shooting, the TV wouldn't even turn on. They first said they would replace it, then they said they would send a technician. Then I received an email stating they would refund my $$$. I really just wanted a new TV.

Slow and Lagging internet connectivity

Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this Vizio model because I needed a 24" for the bedroom, and I wanted the 1080p resolution this model offered. There are several reasons why I will return this to Best Buy. 1. The sound quality is absolutely awful - the worst I've ever heard from a TV. I am well aware that a small TV will not have great sound, but even with the available adjustments in the settings menu, it sounded tinny, and humorously the only comparison I can make is two tin cans connected by a string. 2. The 1080p resolution is very nice, but the viewing angle is very small. Once you view the TV from anything other than directly in front, the picture loses color and clarity and turns a whitish, as though viewed through a fog. 3. The TV has the required screw pattern on the back to accept a VESA mount, but the mount I purchased covered up some of the ports on the back so that I needed to take a hack saw and remove part of the mount. I suspect there are other mounts available where this would not be necessary, but since a 24 inch TV is probably one of the smallest TV's to accept a mount, it's going to be a problem. I returned the Vizio and purchased an Insignia instead, and didn't have this problem because the ports were conveniently located away from where the mount would interfere. 4. I purchased a 1080p Insignia 24" and am totally satisfied - sound, picture and mounting all are very good.

Cheaply made

And we own 3 other Vizio tv’s that are much better.

Great at a computer monitor

Great for a home office when you need a break. This is 1080P so it has high enough resolution for a laptop.

Horrible chemical smell!

As soon as you enter the room, I could smell it. To Vizio's credit, they are sending me a replacement. I am hoping it was just a bad batch. Otherwise, the picture was great and so was the TV. Unfortunately, this one had an issue.

Posted .Hi Corvetteguy, New televisions may produce an unusial smell or odor when first turned on. This is due in part to the manufacturing process of components. Some of the electronic components are "coated" to prevent corrosion during their journey from the manufacturer to the home. When those components heat up for the first couple of times, depending on how long you leave the device on, an odor can occur. This smell is not harmful to your health and it will dissipate usually between 10 days and 2 weeks and not return. This is normal and occurs with virtually all consumer electronics.We appreciate that you reached out to us and gave us the opportunity to correct this unfortunate situation.

Vizio - 24 inch

Almost too light for my liking as it seems fragile. It also has a very distinct smell which I was not expecting. You get what you pay for. The apps and everything on there work smoothly though.

Can't connect to 5G. Everything is 5G today. Sound sucks. Had to buy a small sound bar for it. Replaced it with the 24" Insignia.

Great TV and Watch Free feature

I don't have cable TV because it is too expensive and have been only using antenna TV which doesn't allow a lot of choice. Watch Free is fabulous with lots to choose from.

Tv satisfaction

Its ok but definetly not as good as Samsung. Color not as good. Also terrible sales help.

Like it, but too many problems

There is a noticeable lag time when using the remote and the tv response - not the end of the word, something I can live with. But I’ve noticed the tv will randomly stop playing while streaming, which is a problem. I have strong internet and other sets using the WiFi with no issue, so I’m confident the problem is this tv. Seems like it just has some internal deficiencies and since it does impact the major functionality, it’s something I cannot overlook. I will unfortunate be retuning it and looking to exchange.

Deceptive sales pitch!

I did get a good price for it and was very had for about 2 weeks, at which time the TV just quit on me! I had purchased a warranty and was told that if something happened to it I could return it for a new TV. When I returned this tv I was informed I could get the amount I paid towards another out of box product. Deceptive sales pitch! I had to buy another warranty with the new tv.

Horrible for mounting

I'm having to order an angled power cord, and hoping that does the trick. Just a terrible faulty design!
