    Terrible TV for the money

Bought based on consumer ratings and posted reviews. Remote locks up (can't adjust volume, change channels etc) and no local (TV) controls to override. Just bought and returning same day. Staying with Panasonic.

    No More Vizioz

Needed a new tv for spare bedroom. Wanted 1080P and 120 refresh rate. Selected Vizio E32. Bought yesterday, hooked it up to Dish VIP 722 DVR. No luck. Moved TV to another room with another Dish receiver, same model. No luck. Get a screen message of "resolution not supported." No problem with other tvs on these receivers. Brought tv back today. Apparently not 1080p as advertised. Tried using owner manual but only available electronically which makes switching out of manual to adjust tv and back again an extreme pain. This tv may be more suited for internet use than viewing HD broadcasts. Very disappointed with amount of time and multiple trips to store. Would really be bad if this tv was meant for remote location far away from store.

    NO WEB BROWSER

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

WHAT IS A SMART TV? NOT THIS ONE! IF YOU CANNOT SURF THE WEB THEN THERE IS NOTHING SMART ABOUT IT. LOGGING INTO APPLICATIONS ONLY SUCH AS NETFLIX ETC IS NOT ENOUGH. PEOPLE WANT TO CHECK THEIR YAHOO MAIL OR SURF DIFFERENT WEBSITES, CAN'T DO THAT WITH THIS TV UNLESS YOU WANT TO PAY ANOTHER $100 TO ADD A SEPARATE EXTERNAL WEB BROWSER. WHY CALL THIS TV A SMART TV IF ONE NEEDS TO ADD A WEB BROWSER? INSTEAD OF THIS TV, BUY THE SAMSUNG OR THE SHARP SMART TV, THEY ACTUALLY ARE SMART. SHARP IS $50 CHEAPER TOO AND COMPONENT QUALITY IS BETTER THAN A VIZIO. IF YOU WANT A REAL SMART TV AND WISH TO ACTUALLY BROWSE THE WEB AND DO ALL THE THINGS A SMART TV SHOULD DO, AVOID THIS ONE. IT WILL DISAPPOINT YOU.

About this TV just to have one in the bedroom. It's been a great TV and the streaming of the services has been good without lag or bad refresh. It's my second TV like this Visio and I recommend it!

The Tv is ok and the picture is ok however the customer support is terrible. the website will not give you any answers so you need to call or chat. BIG WASTE OF TIME. the people on the phone have no training and the people on the chat are down right rude. the try to belittle the customer to make them go away. I will never buy there product again. Sad because I liked the tv at first

Turns on by itself - no joke

We purchased this TV about 10 months ago for a bedroom. PROBLEM - twice now the TV has turned on BY ITSELF. My husband and I had just gone to bed last night, when five minutes later the TV just simply turned on. We did not even have it on before going to sleep. The remote was sitting on the stand next to me, and no one had touched it. After it mysteriously turned on, the remote would not work to turn it off, change channels, adjust volume - nothing. I had to unplug the TV, then plug it back in before the remote would work. This is the second time this has happened. (We came home after being gone a week and this TV was on.) An online search reveals that other people have had the same thing happen. Although under warranty, it's not worth paying to send it to the manufacturer, since there are other things I don't like about it. The TV has NO buttons on the unit itself for volume, channel changing, etc. You MUST use the remote. Also, the facial color hues are very poor and the sound quality is rather "tinny".

Product Not What I Was Told

Did my research on line for this television and specifically choose this model because I wanted a 1080 NOT a 720. Despite the packaging information, including my verifying by matching the Vizio Model Number, it is a 720. My last Vizio product - it was my second but...

    Avoid

Intermittent problems: We had issues with this TV since the beginning, but didn't do anything about it initially. The TV would randomly power "off" while in use. Though annoying, we were able to power it back on each time and keep viewing...until a few weeks ago. After 5 months of VERY light use, the unit died: 3/4 of the TV screen went black, the top 1/4 displayed a garbled picture, it powered "off," and would not restart. We returned to Best Buy, and the Geek Squad concurred: It was dead. They tried everything, to no avail. The unit wouldn't start, and showed no signs of life. Vizio requested that the unit be shipped to them for further evaluation. Vizio completed their "repair" and sent it back to us about 2 weeks later saying that they performed a "factory reset." We took it home and it worked like a champ for about 3 hours. The next day, nothing. It failed to power "on." No sign of life. We tried again later in the day, and again the next day at different intervals. Still nothing. (We took a video of it just in case.) Back to Best Buy. It didn't power up at first, but it did eventually. Since it powered on, I was told I could take it home and bring it back if it happened again. After showing our video and detailing the problems we've had, we agreed that it needed to go back to Vizio again. I will keep you posted on whether Vizio does the right thing and replaces the product.

    TV Died within 5 months

Vizio is now trying to repair it for the second time. By the time I receive it back, we will have been w/o a TV for approximately a month. P.S. Keep your box and the plastic cling tape that protects the case. When I brought it in for repair the first time it looked brand new. The condition of the case was pristine. When I picked it up after it had been sent to Vizio for repair, the black plastic casing looked shop worn. Best Buy has been great, but Vizio has been a disappointment.
