Problems from day one

Presumably, there are major issues with the HDMI connections. We’ve changed HDMI cables twice and the picture still turns a purple haze and/or the picture cuts in and out. When the picture IS functioning, the sound doesn’t work. We’ve reported this to Vizio, but due to COVID, they aren’t currently resolving issues like this. They informed me that “once the COVID restrictions are lifted...” they’d get back to us with further directions on a resolution. Week 5 of continued frustrations with this brand new tv.

Haunted TV with poor user functionality

Sometimes it will display the Visio logo and never respond to any commands; it must be powered off & on to regain functionality. It has also turned itself on while the remote was sitting on a table, away from the TV. Pressing the INPUT button gives you a VERY SHORT TIME to choose an input and I have found no way to lengthen the time. The TV input displays the last channel watched instead of "TV" so that the input changes depending on the last channel viewed. The menu font is also too small to read unless you're very close to the TV.

Inferior TV to Samsung

I have several Samsung TVs that work great. This one not so much. Will not purchase another VIZIO product.

Not so smart TV

It will not connect to Comcast as the default even after several calls to VIZIO it still turns on and goes to the smart mode and you have to go into input to connect to HDMI 3 just to watch. It has almost no instructions, support is awful and two visits $$$ from comcast have not solved the problem. The picture is ok but it takes too much effort to use it. Threw away the box so I can't return it. Going to have to buy a non smart TV and trash this one. Don't buy this TV.

I just haven’t had time to return it to get a replacement. The TV takes an unusually long time to turn on & pull up menus/apps, as well as open them. Seems like there’s a delay of some sort. Also, at times the TV freezes & other times turns off completely to the point I have to unplug it from the outlet & plug it back in just to reset it. Another issue is when I first turn it on it tells me my network connection is not connected when it is & then a few seconds later it’ll connect.

horrible software

Half of the time you go to the smart hub, it does not load and you have to go into the menu, navigate several sub menus and "soft reset". You cannot just turn off the television, and then turn it back on, you have to go through a convoluted process. Also, instead of the television turning on to where you were last when you power on, you get spam. I don't have an amazon prime account and never entered that app, so that must mean it is the most important thing to me ever and that I should have to navigate out of it every time I turn on the TV. There is currently no way to delete the app, My bad for buying a smart TV rather than just plugging in a Roku.

Why can’t I remove apps?

Unfortunately the software is really slow and you can not remove apps you do not want to help speed it up. The video quality is great and the unit is decent but I would do more research before buying next time.

I didn't find much to love about this TV which is a pity because I got one for a family member and it's great. Taking this one back tomorrow. Disappointed.

Random damage

When I received the tv it was in perfect condition. But then I noticed a chip on the corner ... didn’t effect the tv at all but then soon enough the tv starting turning on on it’s own . Made sure their wasn’t a timer on the tv and their was nothing .. and not the crack grew and not their is a line going through the middle of the screen honestly I wish I can get my money back because this thing is straight trash

Slow

Okay but screen stopped working

The lcd or components for the display and back lighting fail and now the screen is black. Had not called customers support but will first thing they are open.

Horrible color

Poor TV, Retailer, and Purchase Experience

Impossible to get tv to show even basic television and cable. Best Buy lost the remote, would not provide replacement, and the display had power cord attached to shelves, so they pulled a generic one off shelf. Miserable experience and unhelpful employees just made this one poor experience. Will likely return unit this week and choose another retailer and unit. Vizio would not assist with a 20 dollar missing remote and getting tv to work for time being. Nobody cares any longer.

Very disappointed with Vizio TV

Can't upload the app. Have to sign in via phone or other devise and cast to TV/ What's up with that - Vizio not pay a fee to HBO? TV is also EXTREMELY slow especially when going on any streaming app (Netflix, Hulu, Disney etc). It feels like you could go out for lunch and back over the time it takes just to open the app. Then same wait to do any step along the way until finally loading/opening up movie/show to watch.

Don't buy vizio

The OS crashed and several hard resets didn't fix it. Support wouldn't help me either. First they told me it's a known issue and an update was going to come out. But they didn't know when, and couldn't help me. I did have returned the TV, but didn't since I could workaround the problem. Then, the week of Christmas the TV just stopped turning on, after it's than three months. This time support was willing to fix it by cross shipping a refurb. But that took over two weeks. All in all, the TV is only ok, and the support was horrible. Pay a few bucks more for any other TV.
