Great TV and Apps

If you're concerned about app availability, check out yahoo's tv service to see if your favorite app can be installed. Be warned, this TV (40 inch) only has 2 HDMI ports. In today's world of numerous devices, x boxes and Wii U's, more connections are really needed. Hence, only 4 stars. The Apps (Netflix, Amazon, Hulu all come preinstalled) access the internet via wifi or an onboard wired network connection. Wifi setup is easy on the tv. However, due to distance from our wifi router, I ended up running Cat5 from the wifi router to the tv, through our attic. It didn't require anytime on the computer to enable. It works great and my kids are happy with the responsiveness of Netflix now that it's a wired connection. Not all smart tv's have this ability and this was one of the factors in our purchase.
