It developed a vertical black line on the screen about 2 weeks after purchasing.

Have been using this TV now for about 3 weeks. IMO, this TV has an excellent picture right out of the box for HDMI connected Blu Rays and Comcast HD On-Demand programming. The picture is also outstanding with my grandson's HDMI connected XBox 1. As expected with HD cable, some channels are great and others not as good. I also downloaded the Smart Cast app to my smart phone to help set up the TV for casting. A little bit confusing and awkward but it worked. Since then though, we have used a tablet (without the SmartCast app) to WIFI cast directly from YouTube and it works perfectly. We haven't needed the SmartCast App since the first day. The supplied remote is VERY basic with only about 10 buttons. We really only use the supplied remote to power the TV on and select an input. Our cable box remote or Blu Ray remote handles the rest including volume. This TV has an excellent picture and the sound is satisfactory considering the size of the built in speakers. A great price for a great TV.

I was looking for a tv without apps since I use the Playstation Vue app on a Fire TV box for watching tv and Amazon Prime with Netflix for movies. I don't use the casting feature much (tried casting youtube from my phone, quality was good and had no problems), I did install the app on my phone so I could get to the featues you can't on the remote (picture color, brightness adjustments, sleep timer, channel finder-for setup). Otherwise, the remote that comes with it is adequate for basic controls(volume, channel changing, input selection and picture mode) while watching shows.. I had some trouble pairing the tv with my phone (Ieven being Tech Savy), however the Vizio Support team was very helpful in helping me get it paired, if you have trouble, call them, be patient and let them figure it out. The picture is great for the cost! If you're looking for a tv that looks good combined with a Fire TV box, this one is a great choice.

First of all I don't know why so many people don't like the tv, they should have done their research before purchasing it. It clearly tells you what you need it to work, be it a smartphone or wifi syncing. With that being said it has excellent sound for having bottom facing speakers, great contrast ratio and 120Hz refresh rate. You can't beat that for the size and name brand for only $300. The tv works perfectly fine, if your research what it is your buying first. Or know how to work a smart TV.

My TV died. I bought another brand but it required a Smartphone to access some of the control features. Promptly returned it and did a direct exchange, no hassle. Love this TV, great picture, user-friendly. The sound quality could be a little better. Other than that, it's good.

We were looking for a 120 hz refresh rate for our son who's into gaming. Picture was Great for the Price. My son wanted Samsung, but for $120 more, the picture wasn't worth the added cost, and looked similar.

This TV is fine to watch regular TV shows, but if you are planning on watching sports with a lot of action and movement, this is not the TV to get. The players were small colored blurs on the screen with halos around them when in motion. The pixels were noticeable and scrolling text difficult to impossible to read. You also can't adjust brightness and many other settings, they have built in options only to choose from. The remote is confusing as it is only symbols, no words and only about 6 of them, again, most options are packaged and not able to be adjusted. To summarize, good to watch sitcoms or regular shows, but definitely not for sports. We have another 48" visio TV that we are very happy with and works fine for sports.

Great performance, easy to use and simple to hook up. While I'm not a fan of the remote not having full functionality, I cannot fault this TV

This device makes the perfect office-size monitor for normal TV viewing and more importantly for small group presentations.

You get more features with wifi connection. Since recently moved have to wait on company to install that's why I didn't rate 5 stars. Over all looks sounds great.

I'm really happy with the TV, I'm used to the Google Cast, that's may be why I enjoy how simple the Vizio TV interface is. One downside is that you can't cast Amazon Video, also it's a hassle to make sure you have all your video streaming apps on your phone, but overall I ;personally still prefere Smart Cast approach to the other built in TV OS's out there, even the built in Roku TVs.

I was amazed by the display quality and has immediately ordered this item without any second thoughts. Being a tech savvy, the installation steps looked okay before buying it. But, once i started to make the set going - it was nothing short of a horrible experience. Whatever and whichever device i tried to get the app installed on, it hasn't made the connection smooth. The Smart Tv Home [apps bar] was literally not visible anywhere. We tried Ethernet, Wifi and Mobile Data. More than anything, USB was not getting detected. The inbuilt chrome-cast hasn't started and we were left with nothing but a blank screen with many on/off instances. Returned it the next day and settled down with a more traditional Samsung Smart Tv.

I purchased this tv for the sole purpose to be able to stream Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon video right from the tv like I can do with the 55 inch I bought right before Christmas instead of using my play station 3. It looks us 3 hours to get it set up only to find out that I can not access the apps from the tv and can only get them through the app on a mobile device. It's way to frustrating and annoying so the tv will be going back tomorrow

After 3 hours of intermitent casting connections I called vizio support line. After an hour and a half of tech troubleshooting I was told smartcast software has known problems. Vizio has no projected fix date. The tv randomly drops connection to controller and the initial setup program must be run again. I had to do this 5 times in the first few hours out of box. Returning to store tomorrow. DO NOT BUY THIS MODEL. IT DISPLAYS CASTING VIDEO INTERMITTENTLY, VIZIO IS AWARE OF THE PROBLEM, AND HAS NO FIX.

Pairing this device to a smart phone is rocket science; worse still is the customer service help. If you only want a basic TV it's OK at best. I spent more tan one hour online with a chat help and still no pairing with my smart phone.

This TV only works with an app. There is no ability to operate the tv using the basic remote that is included. I had 2 days of frustration trying to set the tv up in an area that has spotty wifi (apparently the app needs this to sync with app). So I figure at the minimum I could watch regular tv using an hdtv antenna. I was wrong, I was never able to get my app to communicate with the tv, so I was unable to scan for the digital channels. Worst idea ever, I hope the make the app an option and not a requirement. Back to the store it goes!

Poor picture and sound you have to pair your phone with the tv to set up. Worst tv I have ever had. Should have paid $100 more for a Sony or a Samsung.

I bought this for my daughter and its a decent TV but the interaction with it is not favorable. I bought it so she could stream Netflix and Hulu, but you have to cast it from you phone to the TV so its really NOT a smart TV. BEWARE its hard to use and a pain to set up. I ended up haveing to spend another $60 just to get a Roku Stick so it could really be a SMART TV. BS I tell you. Horrible marketing.

I bought this tv to use in my game room. First, the remote is almost useless. You have to download and app to use the tv. My tv had a problem where I had to unplug it and reset it every time I wanted to turn it on. I called Vizio and that's what their customer service said to do like it was normal. Also, the chrome cast never worked and they blamed it on it being buggy. No solutions whatsoever. I returned it to Best Buy and got a different brand TV. I'll never buy another Vizio.
