Great tv we love Vizio

Just Purchased and cant get setup

Even though it comes with a controller it seems not to have any use. No warnings that you MUST have a device that can run the APP

Cast system is terrible, TV is poor quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this TV due to lower price and decent reviews. The main problem I have for this TV is how frustrating the cast system is. I have to reinstall all the time because the system just stops connecting to the app. This would be less of a problem if the TV didn't constantly glitch out and require me reset it. If you want do anything besides change inputs you will need to use your phone and you will need to reset the app each time. The HDMI ports have stopped working multiple times requiring me to hard reset the TV, and then go about the process of setting up the TV using the terrible app again! The comp inputs also don't recognize older devices (like my N64), called tech support about this and explained the devices work on other TVs and was told there is nothing that can be done about it. I suggest you save a little money and get a different TV because the amount of problems I have had with this TV makes me wish I had. TV is poor quality and VIZIO customer support won't help you.

Unusable tv
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Setting this tv up was the single worst experience in purchasing a new tv I have ever had. Signing into the app was bad enough but being forced to use the proprietary app to watch anything other than live tv was complete hot garbage. Tomorrow, when the store opens, I will be returning this trash. I have been a fan of Vizio before, but they top my list of TVs to avoid. The picture is not great when I can see something other than the setup menu. The sound is quite substandard, even for a tv speaker...when it works...which was erratic at best. The remote is as cheap of a remote as I have ever seen for a TV. It feels as though it will break if I choose the directional arrows. This TV is a dumpster fire of failure.

Thanks to Best Buy for letting me return this TV!

Does everyone naturally enjoy listening to a TV that sounds like it's filtered through a tin can? When I finally downloaded the remote app for my smartphone, it help slightly, but not to anyone in my family's satisfaction. Which brings me to two questions 1) Why should I have to buy a sound bar to have decent sound?, and 2) Why do I have to have a smartphone to have a remote? I returned this TV and bought a Samsung that doesn't require a sound bar or a smartphone. I paid a little extra (~$100), but it was definitely worth the exchange.

Can't Use Smart Tv Function!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Do not buy if the person using the TV does not have an Android or Apple smart phone or tablet! I bought this tv for my stepson and he's only 9. The guy at the store who sold me it knew that but didn't mention this fact to me. My stepson only has a kindle and a windows phone, neither of which are able to download the app that allows you to operate the Smart TV functions! This is due to the 'competition' between Google and Amazon. Not sure how the tv would work throgh an iPhone, may be great but won't work for what I need. 1 star more for bringing it home, setting it up, and now having to take it back!
