To make sure you’re getting the most out of your VIZIO TV, we’d recommend making sure your devices are connected with an HDMI cable, and are set to broadcast in Full HD (1080p). You can also individually adjust your picture settings in the menu. For brighter rooms, try using the ‘VIVID’ picture mode for a brighter, more colorful image. Another good way to see the full capabilities of the TV would be to search for "4K HDR" in the YouTube app. As long as your network connection is able to support speeds needed for 4K HDR content, there are some amazing looking videos. Mine is slow to turn on. Sometimes I turn it on and off and on again, not knowing if it is on....or off. Very tiny white light on lower right will signify if its on. Takes a while to get to the home screen. Not sure if it is the tv, or my internet connection. ( I use it mainly for apps like Hulu, Netflix etc>)

Great picture, even better price

Never purchased a Vizio but so far no complaints. Image is clear and crisp, nice sharp colors. Love the Online feature where you can watch online tv through Vizio's built in app. Excellent tv so far.

Not that great of a TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall the tv is decent. I like Smart TV platform on the tv, its better than the Roku platforms. Preloaded with plenty of apps. Picture quality is poor in my opinion. All of the preset picture modes are either washed out looking, too dim, too bright or colors are way off the charts. Even after manually adjusting the tone, brightness, contrast, etc, the picture quality is washed out and the colors are off. If the picture quality was better, I would rate it a 5 star TV.

Posted .Hello Sarge, Thank you for the feedback. A few things that might help you get the kind of picture quality you are looking for. First, make sure the Display is getting a hi-definition or 4K signal. This means making sure that you're source device (like a cable/satellite box) is capable of HD or 4K, and that it's connected to your Display with an HDMI cable that can deliver the HD or 4K picture. You can also change between pre-set picture modes on the display by pressing the PIC button on your remote. This will toggle between a few picture setting that look good in different situations. If your display is in a bright room try Vivid or Calibrated. If it’s in a dimmer room try Calibrated Dark.

If you mainly stream you will need to go into settings and change this factory setting to prevent start up failure. MENU, SYSTEM SETTINGS, POWER MODE. Change this setting to quick start and no more start up failure. This TV is a good value for the price.

Smart TV not so smart

Does not want to go on when I turn it on so I pull the plug for 2minutes and then it goes on. Only have it less than a month and have had to do that several times. Also had the screen freeze and had to call the helpline and they were the ones that told me about pulling the plug out for 2 minutes which I did and then it worked.
