Great TV for a kids room

Vizio is a bad brand

They have all had some sort of defect. The first one I got the home screen didn't even come up at all and Vizio customer services solution on the phone was to give it time to update. I didn't buy a tv to sit there and not be able to use it. The second one had issues with the screen, and now my 3rd one just randomly decides to completely freeze to the point where I can't even turn the TV off with it's buttons, and has terrible back light issues on top of that. I am extremely disappointed Vizio used to be a respected brand now they apparently male junk.

Posted .Hi Jchance. Its' very rare that any of our TV's have a defect, and even odder that you would have gotten 3 that seem to be having issues. If you could call us directly at 1 (855) 833-3221 we'd really appreciate the chance to ask you some questions, and see if there's anything environmental that could be causing the problem. Since your reporting freezing, and screens not loading, there may be something going on with your home network and we can help fix.

Worthless to Me

Saturday, the 4 HDMI ports of my very old XVT373SV just quit working. I have a space limitation of 35.5 inches wide where that Vizio was located. I found a 40-inch Vizio Model: D40F-G9 at best Buy and picked it up yesterday. Right out of the box the home screen is loaded with apps like 'Apple TV' that I'll never use that I' can't delete or even add apps to. The edge bleed is significant. The audio is so tinny it sounds like something that originates at the bottom of a one-pound coffee can. The Chromecast works but Google Home can't find it. I can pair the Vizio Smartcast app on my phone with the tv when the tv is powered on. When the tv is powered off Smartcast can't find it. The tv is worthless to me.

To make sure your TV is discoverable to your Google Home and the SmartCast app it can be helpful to put the TV in 'Quick Start Mode'. This allows the TV to be turned on when it receives a cast signal, and should help it be found by other devices in your network. Should have listened.

It constantly freezes and stays at a black screen until I unplug it and plug it in again. Several apps won’t load. Never again!

Slow TV.

It takes the remote to “communicate” with the TV like 45 seconds to move from channel to channel. It also doesn’t have the HBO Max app so you will need to stream it.
