it’s not a high-end TV by any stretch of the imagination. But overall, for $200, it’s a great little deal. Bought it for my 70-year-old parents and They just love it.

Love this TV, just wish switching the AV source was easier to see and do. Other than that, I can watch Peacock on it (can’t do it from my firestick) and the picture quality is better than my 1 year older Samsung 40” class 5 that I got rid of for this.

I purchased this during black friday and the price was well worth it. Very nice picture and looks good on my wall. I will purchase another one next black Friday.

Best Buy sent it perfectly on time and did not charge shipping, wonderful services from BB. Remote control works when it 'wants to'. I will increase or decrease the volume, and anywhere from 1 to 5 minutes later it will 'decide' to implement the requested function. I have changed the batteries and done all of the trouble shooting work that I can identify. TV works when it feels like it. TV won't start up, TV freezes, view screen magnifies on its own. Sometimes it will 'turn on' the light will show it is on but a blank screen will present. I have checked the internet and determined every time that this isn't due to the internet connection. It seems that unplugging it for about 10 minutes prior to using it 'helps' Very disappointed in this TV and remote. I tried to give it the benefit of the doubt that this was a user issue (me). But have determined that the TV and or Remote are the issue.

I bought this unit to use as a monitor for my 13" MacBook Pro. Very simple HDMI connection although an adapter plug is required. Good picture and good sound for the music. Bonus...with 40" monitor you can see several data bases at the same time!

Wanted a full smart tv with chromecast for our kitchen. This tv is wonderfull as you can cast to it or use the smart tv app on the tv alone to access every online service. Full control is optional with your phone. Exceeded my expectations. Like this tv better than my tlc as it has native chromecast

The picture and sound are good. I live the versatility of Google Cast, Airplay and apps. However the user interface can often be slow.

Brought this tv when another one broke. I wanted to replace the tv with the same one as before but it was unavailable. The sales rep showed me this one and the price was great so I purchased. The tv has great picture quality, adding more streaming apps also easy.

The best part was the price for all the features expected on a smart TV for a vacation home. Setup was quick and easy for both cable viewing and Wi-Fi for streaming. Picture quality was good with straight viewing however I found the picture quality degraded rapidly as the angle changed to the left or right. Another annoying complaint I have is the Google Chromecast vs the format other brands offer. If you don't agree to all of Google's T&C's, well you have no streaming!

The television works the way it supposed to. Although long, it was a easy set up. Everything connected the way it was supposed to. The picture is clear. You are also able to get a bunch of channels for free through the Vizio service.

Overall the TV is a good buy. It can be slow but it's not a big issue. The only problem I had is, when I turned the TV on I could see the light from the top of the TV where it was supposed to be covered. That means the bezel wasn't all the way over the screen. I had to pop the bezel over the screen. I was able to do so without damaging the screen, but the can be concerning if you're not careful. However, for the price and reason for why I got the TV I'm happy with my purchase.

WHEN I PLAYED THE TV FOR THE FIRST TIME, I DIDN'T THINK IT WAS TOO GOOD. BUT, YOU HAVE TO ADJUST THE NUMEROUS THINGS THAT NEED TO CHANGED, UNTIL THE PICTURE JUMPS OFF THE SCREEN INTO YOUR LIVING ROOM. NOW THE PICTURE IS JUST LIKE I WANT.

Vizio are usually a good to for good quality TV’s and the 40 inch D Series TV is a great TV for any beginners for Smart TV’s. Solid Smart Apps, really good picture and solid options for picture and sound make it a must own for anyone.

I wanted a smart TV in this size and price range, so I decided to purchase my 2nd Vizio TV. I love the features and the picture is outstanding. I would recommend this set to anyone in the market for this size set. I installed in my wife's sewing room, and she is one happy lady. Thanks Best Buy!

We purchased this TV for our guest room. THE FACT THAT IT IS 1080P and a smart TV was a major decision. We were going to purchase a smaller TV for that room but the price was too good to pass up. I had to do some picture adjustments for the room but it's all good now.
