I didn't want to spend a lot of money on something that is only watched occasionally. I also wanted component inputs because I have an old VCR that has that connection for best picture. This TV is adequate for those uses. The picture quality out of the box was somewhat disappointing (at least to my tastes) - I had to adjust backlit, color and contrast to get a sharp picture. Once I did, I was satisfied with the picture. The sound is not great so I certainly would not have this TV as your "main" TV without adding at least a sound bar or better yet an audio system. This TV is a good choice for a guest bedroom or auxiliary spaces where quality is of little concern. For your "main" TV, I would recommend a Sony (great picture out of the box) .

An ok tv for the kids

The tv lags a lot when using the apps and the tv for some reason turns off and on by itself . Overall the tv is ok because I got it when it was on sale.
