I purchased a Visio D40f-G9 smart tv online from Best Buy. Within 4 weeks I start having problems with the tv.... the remote would stop working sporadically The screen would freeze or go black while streaming a program or while using an outside antenna for local broadcast. Occasionally the tv will not connect to WiFi. sometimes when the tv seems to be working fine the remote won’t turn it off. All these problems are are remedied for a period of time by unplugging the tv’s power cord and wait for 10 seconds and plug it back in again. Then the tv will work fine for short time. I’ve called Visio support three time’s complaining. They had me go through a process that they claimed should fix the problem twice.. that was a waste of time. I was told earlier today by Visio support they will have a technician call and setup an appointment within 3 business days to fix if possible or replace the tv. We spend some time in Florida at a condominium that has two Visio smart TVs and have never had any of these problems. Best Buy was no help ...the Geek Squad technician told me to call Visio support.... after having the tv in my possession for 15 days it’s Visio’s problem

The tv is extremely slow. The picture quality is clear but the programmed apps are slow. I have Xfinity Internet and no other device is slow that I use.

This my first Vizio and I am very impressed. The picture is stunning compared to the Sony I had. The streaming services are great too.

Bought this for my mother and she loves the quality of the picture for watching all her hall manc snows.

Fit perfectly. Great value. Why would you pay more when you can get such a great product for such a fantastic price!

Great sound and picture for the cost, not too many options making it simple for basic users

Great TV was the right size for what we needed. Love it has chromecast build in. Also have video and other digital services preloaded.

Vizio has come a long way and and they are even better than ever. Crystal clear picture and they have there own watch TV for free!!

It looks great and is sufficiently large for the bedroom. Works great with my Google nest audio too.

It's not 4K but for the size and price, pretty awesome. No problems, works great do far after 3 weeks.

This Smart HDTV is a birthday gift for my son. He really loves the size and all the features that comes with it.

The Vizio 40" D-class has been a very good purchase. The picture is really good and it was easy to setup.

Honestly the worst tv I’ve ever bought. It freezes constantly! It’s so annoying. I’ve tried everything to try to help it work smoother and nope.

Setup was easy, picture and sound are fine. My only reservation is that this was bought to replace a 32 inch Vizio whose LED backlighting died less than 4 years after purchase. That's quite a short lifetime and I hope Vizio has resolved whatever causes that sort of premature death - especially when replacement LED strips for the old TV are unavailable. On a positive note, the new 40 inch TV was $10 cheaper than the old 32 inch that died.

This tv was an excellent purchase in terms of price and quality. It has a great picture and sound quality is very nice.
