    Good TV, but setup issues and no BT connectivity

    Had some issues on initial steps starting up TV - it hung up for over an hour after it downloaded initial updates in the setup. TV rebooted, came back on with backlight on, but nothing happening. Eventually had to do a hard reboot to start over twice, and worked on the 3rd try. Good TV otherwise but returned soon after because it seemed like it could Bluetooth connect to devices, but just through a Vizio app (Wanted to hook wireless BT headphones up to it but could not. Confirmed with Vizio customer service).

    I paid $229 for this tv and it's not a bad tv. I mean...what do you expect for a 40-inch 4k tv that cost $229? I mainly watch tv and youtube in the bedroom and watch 4k movies on my TCL R617 in the living room. It is bright, but you don't get the dark, vivid picture you would get with a more expensive tv. If you're wanting a tv that you can watch tv and play games on, this tv is sufficient. If you're wanting great contrast and dynamic HDR, pay $100 more for the 43 inch Samsung 7-Series tv.

      Hello Stan, Thank you for the feedback. Below are a few things that might help improve the picture for you. First, make sure the Display is getting a hi-definition or 4K signal. This means making sure that your source device (like a cable/satellite box) is capable of HD or 4K, and that it's connected to your Display with an HDMI cable that can deliver the HD or 4K picture. You can also change between pre-set picture modes on the display by pressing the PIC button on your remote. This will toggle between a few picture settings that look good in different situations. If your display is in a bright room, try Vivid or Calibrated. If it’s in a dimmer room, try Calibrated Dark. VIZIO

    Nice picture, buttons on the remote for many common streaming apps so good, made in the USA or at least a US company but this particular tv the picture will minimize to one corner so I will need to call support

    This is a nice TV i normally only buy Sony TV's because of the quality and how long they last but this is my second TV purchase from vizio and so far so good I have 2 Sony TVs and 2 vizios and all 4 are still in good working order

    Slick TV with impressive color range and built in options for streaming and watching a whole host of services. TV updates regularly too which is good for keeping up to date with apps. I love how it works with ChromeCast AND Airplay.

    I didn't buy 1 TV I bought 2 TV's. Not many places to buy from Costco or Best Buy. I went with Best Buy because I needed a smaller size TV and your the only place that has them. I bought a smaller size one many years ago for my kitchen and I use it everyday and love it.

    I am pleased with the television except for the audio quality. The picture quality is great. The audio has been adjusted but has a very tinny sound quality when watching many programs.

    I purchased and returned this model after 4 days of use. The picture quality wasgood but the speakers are terrible, not bad, terrible. Also the operating system that controls Netflix, Amazon prime, ect kept freezing and would only work after totally unplugging the tv; factory resets didn't help. I'm a fan of vizio and own a 50 inch 4k but they dropped the ball with this one.

    This tv has great picture and sound. You can only use the preloaded apps, There is no option to download new apps. I am hoping that periodic updates will include more apps (like Disney +).

      Hello Nate, we are continually evaluating new applications for addition to the SmartCast screen. In the meantime, you can cast any of the thousands of Chromecast enabled applications or Airplay content to the television from your mobile device. You can view Disney+ on this SmartCast TVs by 'Casting' the content from the Disney+ app on a compatible device. You can also use the AirPlay feature of your VIZIO TV with an iOS device running iOS12.3 or later or a Mac device running 10.14.5 or later. VIZIO

    VIZIO has been great for us in the past and is continuing to be great for us. This TV is just a smaller version of what we have now (65in) and works great. If you want better quality than by a Samsung/LG/Sony but if you want good 4k at a low price than buy a VIZIO.

    Love the way the main page is laid out and how accessible various platforms are. We've had some trouble with the TV freezing as well as with the TV and remote not communicating

    Bought this for my parents as an upgrade from there 10 year old tv. Mounting was a breeze but the speakers are awful have to have in the 20s before you can hear anything and it’s distorted. Will probably by a sound bar soon

    the T.V. As I indicated, my cable box and remote are too old for the power on my new T.V. so I don't get a very colorful picture. That is not the fault of Best Buy but I can't give a good review until I get a new cable box and remote.

    This is not my everyday TV, and if it was I would have returned it, the interface is a little laggy, the software is just not that great. Picture quality is decent.

    Purchased this tv to play slide shows on at the home and garden shows for my business. Just plug in your usb in to the slot n it automatically takes you where you need to be to start your presentation

    Purchased for our kids playroom and so far have been very happy with it. Just wish you could add new apps on vizio smart tv's but unfortunately you are stuck with what comes on it. A roku or firestick is an inexpensive solution to that problem though

    It's very nice to have a TV that is so accommodating. The streaming apps that are built in keep us in awe with the picture perfect high resolution quality. The apps that aren't available on the TV can be casted onto the smart TV seamlessly!

    Great TV. Wish they would give more details on how to use the Roku for those that are new to it. Also, it seems the battery life in the remote goes quickly compared to other TVs I have had.

    I’ve owned this since June 2019. The tv is very good. However the Smartcast platform that it runs on is the worst. After about an hour it must be rebooted. Screen freezes a lot then just has a circle spin. The necessity to reboot every 45-60 minutes is annoying to say the least. Two stars for the good picture; zero stars for the Smartcast operating system. Going back to Samsung. It’s worth a few extra dollars to avoid such frustration. Goodbye forever Vizio.

    Great TV for gaming and using as a computer screen

    I have had a great experience using this TV to work remotely by connecting my laptop via HDMI and playing video games on Xbox One. Watching shows in Hulu and Netflix are seamless because the buttons are at the top of the remote.
