Not heavy that my 12 year old daughter can pick it up and at the same time very sturdy. Wish I would have bought another one for our bedroom.

Don't Buy! This TV broadcasts unsecure wifi

The picture quality was outstanding (2180p). I had the TV for three days. My grandsons came over to my house with their laptops and wanted to connect to my network wifi. Before I could give them my wifi password, they (my grandsons) told me that they were already connected to the internet. I checked their wifi connection and both laptops were connect to my wifi, unsecure, thru my new TV. I use my cell phone to check wifi networks in my area. And there in the wifi list was my TV name broadcasting unsecure. Even when I turned off the TV, it was still broadcasting. I had to unplug power in order to stop the TV from broadcasting my wifi unsecurely. Checked Vizio support site for assistance, could not find any solutions that work. I could not find any solutions on the internet either. However, I did find plenty of articles stating Vizio had this issue with some of their other smart TVs for about three years. Needless to mention, I took this Smart TV back the next day.

Posted .Hello Disappointment, your SmartCast device will broadcast a SSID for the purpose of connecting to a mobile device using the VIZIO SmartCast application. To complete any connection to the television a 4 digit code, that is displayed on the television, would need to be entered on the connecting device before allow it to control your television. This network will stop broadcasting after about 30 minutes after initial power on and should pose no security risk to the integrity of the personal wireless network or information.

Posted .Hello Bill, Thank you for the feedback. A few things that might help you get the kind of picture quality you are looking for. First, make sure the Display is getting a hi-definition or 4K signal. This means making sure that your source device (like a cable/satellite box) is capable of HD or 4K, and that it's connected to your Display with an HDMI cable that can deliver the HD or 4K picture. You can also change between pre-set picture modes on the display by pressing the PIC button on your remote. This will toggle between a few picture settings that look good in different situations. If your display is in a bright room, try Vivid or Calibrated. If it’s in a dimmer room, try Calibrated Dark.
