Screen goes black

Only had this item for around 30-40 days and already I’ve had to reset it over 4 times. The screen randomly turns black and I can hear whatever was on, but can’t see anything or change it. Sometimes turning it off and on works but several times I have needed to unplug it completely and plug it back in. Other times the apps (like Netflix or the HDMI port for the Switch) will freeze and I cannot adjust the volume or exit the app. I might expect this from an older TV but not a brand new one.

Poor quality backlights, half my screen is dead.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Within a month of purchase, I began to see a slight irregularity in the center of the screen. As time went on, I was having backlight failures within three months. I made multiple support cases under warranty and Vizio would not respond to any of them. This is the last Vizio product I will ever own. Sadly it's the only 40" 4K out there, and the 43" models from most manufacturers won't fit the spot on my desk where this needs to go.

Vizio 40” - crappy sound
