Posted .Thank you for your feedback. This display is capable of native 4K content and will show in 4K as long as the content being watched is being sent to the display in 4K. We recommend using an HDMI cable to ensure you are getting the highest resolution possible.

||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This TV was okay for a short time, though the sound is not great. After a year and a half, it lost the signal in the main HDMI port. Having to switch ports, the sound is now worse. Recently the sound disappears completely when turning it on first thing in the morning, making it necessary to reboot by turning the power off and on at the wall switch. Also, this model has a habit of turning itself on in the middle of the night, which this one has done many times! That creeped me out until I discovered other owners had the same experience. Not worth the price. Would not buy this model again.

Problems with the smartcast input

True this TV has no tuner, however, where I live I can't get any over-the-air broadcast as it is. Set up is fairly simple. There is a bit of a learning curve with the smartcast, but once you set it up, it is rather cool. Casting also works from my computer. Picture is very good and took a bit getting used to as my previous Vizio was a LCD from 2009.

It would be nice if the remote could control another device like lg's magic remote. The audio is kind of bad but better than any other tv I've listened to. Do yourself a favor and get a descent sound bar with sub woofer. Before you buy, keep in mind there isn't much content in 4K. The upscaler does an ok job but you won't get the full experience.
