Customers highly value the exceptional sound quality, immersive Dolby Atmos experience, and user-friendly setup process of the 5.1.4-Channel Elevate Soundbar. The rotating speakers and powerful bass further enhance the overall cinematic experience. However, some users have expressed concerns regarding occasional connectivity issues and bugs in the accompanying app.

Great Soundbar for the price, includes rear speakers And all the cables you need to get set up quickly. Sound is great, crisp and clear and the subwoofer is pretty powerful. Only downside of this sound bar in my usage of it is that sometimes when you turn on the TV the sound bar fails to play sound even though it powers on with the tv.

The sound, sounded great, but after a while the part of the speaker that tilts up stopped tilting, wasnt a big deal cause it still sounded great. But the biggest deal breaker for me is the ad filled vizio app that lets you control it. Half the time it wouldnt connect, other half attacked by ads.

Easy to set up and sound quality is clear. Haven't had any issues with sound from TV to Soundbar, but sometimes sound drops and needs to be "reset" in toggling my Vizio TV's audio settings when using my Playstation to Soundbar to eARC port on the TV.

So I picked this soundbar up a few days ago. Best Buy had it on sale for just the one day so I had to take advantage of it. When opening, everything was nicely packaged and Vizio provides you with all of the accessories that you need. This soundbar sounds absolutely amazing!!! It definitely gives you the feeling like your in a movie theater! Great job Vizio with this soundbar and I highly recommend you get it, especially when it’s on sale!

Good sound bar. Great bass, although it can be a little to much sometimes. Needed some tweaks out of the box. Felt like i could barely hear the dialogue compared to the other sounds initially. Dolby atmos effects are awesome.

Ummmmm unreal. This is the best sound system I have ever owned. The rotating speakers add such a new dimension for Dolby atmos. The rain in a show sounds like it’s behind you and on top of you. This unit is powerful, and I have to turn the sub down a bit. Stock settings are great for movies and gaming. I love this set up. I hope I have no issues and it lasts for years to come. This is a premium system, for a really good price

Best soundbar I’ve ever owned or heard. Sounds great for both music and film/tv/video games. I have sources going directly into the bar so can’t comment on eARC performance. Out of the box the bar is very bass heavy but sounds great after turning subwoofer and bass levels way down and using Direct EQ for video sources.

Finally was on a Black Friday sale for the 699$ price had to grab it for I have the vizio oled tv that pairs perfectly to this beast of a sound bar. Little learning curve to figure out your own personal settings. Nothing like a good YouTube video to help and it’s that simple to configure.

The sound is awesome, at first I was thinking about getting a Bose or Sony sound bar for double the price cause I’ve never tried a Vizio product, but after listening it in-store I took it home. The only problem is the app compatibility for Apple phones, you can always use the remote instead though.

Love the Vizio Elevate 5.1.4 system! Great sound and experience of Dolby Atmos. The only things i was missing when setting it up was the power cords to the sound bar and sub woofer. I looked all through the box and packaging and never saw them. So i ordered two power cords that matched and if works great now. I like the remote, much easier to use and it is an upgrade to my old vizio 5.1.2 dolby atmos system. So, overall i’am very satisfied and happy!

The sound is amazing! I do love the sound bar but it also has some kinks. Every once in a while you need to do a hard reboot. For me it was between this and the Sonos but this came on sale for around $600 which is a fraction of the Sonos setup so I pulled the trigger. Definitely worth it for that.

Absolutely love this sound bar. Amazing quality and the auto rotating speakers for Dolby Atmos is an amazing touch. It surely does bring the theater experience closer to home. I would highly recommend it. Only annoying experience is trying to set it up with the Vizio SmartCast app. It took many tries before it was finally connected to the app and set up.

Honestly blew me away. I got lucky and got a great deal for this beast of a sound system. Vizio can tend to be mediocre sometimes but this system here is absolutely worth every penny! DEEP bass, clear mids, very clean highs, and very immersive.

this thing sounds amazing, I had the vizio 5.1.2 dolby atmos and the connection was very unreliable when switching sources. I would often have to unplug it to connect. This one solved that issue and works well. The sub is massive, you will feel the thump. I got it on sale $300 off its a great system but I wouldn't pay full price.

I been seeking for a good affordable atmos bar and I think i finally found it. I have tried many atmos bars from the LG, Sonos and JBL and let me tell you the Elevate stands up to all of these and performs like a champ. The atmos experience is superb, the sub is poweful enough to anger the neighbors and the backlight remote is a treat. I do recommend using the app to fine tune your EQ. Direct for atmos movies and Movie mode for everything else is my recommendation. I have all my EQ settings about 4 with the sub being around 6 or so (this is adjusted to your taste). I recommend trying this bar out if your on the fence you won't regret it.

This sound bar change the way that we watch movies, commercials, shows, and even just flipping through apps lol. The sub sits behind the couch and everyone is blown away by the sound and the way the couch rumbles when you sub hits. Can't recommend this enough, bought it on sale to do even more added value there. 100 percent recommend.

Amazing sound, but some half-baked decisions

This sound bar beat my expectations on sound quality, it is loud, rich, and the sub packs plenty of bass. There are some build quality issues and quality of life issues, some which could be fixed via a firmware update. First, the wall mounting system is terrible. There are two little brackets that you have to place perfectly, as the mounting holes are so small it leaves no room for error. Second, there is a long 3-5 second gap in audio as the sound bar figures out what format the audio source is (i.e. stereo, Dolby, DTS), meaning you will miss 3-5 second of dialogue if you pause a program because it needs to see what format the signal is sending. Third, the Google Assistant integration is half baked; with my setup, whenever I say "Ok Google" to any device in my house. it lowers the volume of my sound bar, and there is no option to disable this. And finally, having cryptic cues of colored lights on the sound car in order to determine status isn't a great experience. Overall I would still recommend this, it's bang for buck is amazing, but compromises, half baked software, and bizarre UX chooses were made.

It is very buggy when being used w/ VIZIO P65Q9-H1 (eARC), and Xbox One X (direct to tv). Different streaming apps, and games use different video/audio codecs & the sounder sometimes has trouble handshaking these data unless under ideal circumstances. CEC works great, and Dolby Vision & Atmos work great, when they work! The soundbar's rotating speakers also sometimes have handshake issues in terms of translating which audio signal a particular app/game is outputting; thusly the rotating speakers don't always rotate on the default setting, "Up." Rather, if you have an XB1X/PS4 Pro, change your sounder's audio setting to "Auto."

      Hello Exalt3dsoil,

Thanks for your detailed review and we are glad to hear you are enjoying the sound bar! Regarding the handshake issue you described, this is due to the default setting of the rotating speakers. This can be adjusted by pressing the effect button on the remote and switching the Elevate setting to ElevateAuto. This will cause the rotating drivers will automatically rotate based on the content. If you’d like any help adjusting your audio settings feel free to contact VIZIO support at 844-254-8087. VIZIO
