Customers highly value the exceptional sound quality, immersive Dolby Atmos experience, and user-friendly setup process of the 5.1.4-Channel Elevate Soundbar. The rotating speakers and powerful bass further enhance the overall cinematic experience. However, some users have expressed concerns regarding occasional connectivity issues and bugs in the accompanying app.

M series best compared to P series for small room. Have great bass. I am not sure the adaptive speakers mechanisms last long.

Great sound bar. Goes perfectly with the Vizio OLED. Snaps into place and everything. Having the eArc is great so you can have all your inputs to your tv go directly to the sound bar with full quality. Only complaint is that sometimes the handshake process can be finicky. You’ll have to swap inputs back and forth to get the sound to come through.

Love the strong bass and the cool rotating speaker technology. Works well with my Apple TV and TCL 6 Series set up. I occasionally have to turn the soundbar on then off when it stops producing sound. But that's a minor complaint. Ive used several other sound bars and this is my favorite as far as the tech and the reliability!

I am amazed at the improvement of the sound quality over the speakers in the television. Voices are much clearer and easier to understand. The surround sound works very well. The Internet reviews were very positive that I found and I am not disappointed. They were right. I recommend this soundbar over other brands.

Just wanted to share my quick review of this Visio sound bar. Its by far the best sound bar I've owned for the price. It also works as a 4k pass through for my projector thats more than 45ft away. Before this sound bar I needed a splitter, no need for that anymore.

By far one of the best purchases I have ever made, this soundbar is truly amazing and worth the money. I was easily able to connect everything to my tv and adds a movie theater feeling to my livingroom. The quality of sound is crisp, the base is awesome, and boy can it get loud. Super happy with this purchase.

Huge bang for your buck in terms of sound! The initial set up, specifically connecting to Wi-Fi and downloading updates, could be much better but once it's set up the sound is worth it. There have been some issues with the eARC connection and sound not working when switching inputs, but it fixes itself once you make sure you power everything off and restart. To be honest though, with all the new tech/options inside the TV's, the sound bar itself, and all the other devices connecting to the TV I don't know if it's the sound bar's fault, the connecting devices, the TV's, or the user's fault...? Nevertheless, if the issues didn't happen this would be a 5 star for sure!

I purchased this soundbar after a glowing review from Linus Tech Tips. I enjoy how powerful the bass is, the surround sound is fantastic, and it does Atmos pretty darn well. When it works. Let me tell you, 90% of the time you will struggle to get sound out of the device. On my PS5, as soon as the audio goes quiet, say during a load or cutscene transition, the soundbar stops playing any audio. If you mute and unmute the soundbar to try and get the audio back, the center channel miraculously goes missing. You have to fully power cycle the soundbar to get sound back. God forbid you have a Home Theater/Gaming PC either, I am never able to get the soundbar to keep playing audio from my PC. I start a video and the soundbar works fine, but as soon as I pause it or it buffers the audio is gone until I power cycle the soundbar. Again. And again. I've had to factory reset the soundbar multiple times as well. Because it just completely craps the bed. Won't even turn on anymore. I hope you connected the soundbar to the poorly designed app, since that's the only way to factory reset it when it refuses to turn on! This product has been nothing but pain. It took me a full day to get ARC to work, and even then sometimes 5.1 surround doesn't get passed through, even though that might be my smart tv doing that. Don't.

Great Dolby Atmos system. The subwoofer is too powerful. The only thing I observed is sometimes the center channel feels feeble after rotating speaker turn up so I had to control and increase output using APP.

The Vizio Elevate is great. It is the best looking sound bar on the market hands down with amazing sound quality. Can be a little clunky at times especially when using the app but overall this thing rocks.

Let me start with positives. Build quality is impeccable. When the soundbar works it sounds amazing, unexpectedly amazing. When I connect my sound bar to my tvs eArc port and use it strictly in that configuration it works perfectly fine. Apple tv 4k is connected to my tv, and my sound bar is connected to my tv, consuming two hdmi ports. You do get some audio clicks in the speakers from time to time at power on, but it isn't anything pronounced as some of the other reviews have suggested. On to the bad. The app for setup is very poor, and the setup process within the app is slow and not very intuitive. I have other vizio sound bars and I was kind of hoping to see a change in this area over time, and there really hasn't been any. When using this sound bar in Atmos mode you have to connect HDMI into it in pass through mode. I use an apple tv 4k which supports Atmos. First let me say that it isn't very obvious how to actually connect the ports properly to get pass through to work, but I was ultimately able to figure it out. The biggest problem I am having however is that when in pass through mode after about 15 min, the sound bar completely "freezes" what happens at that point is the remote will no longer control its volume, mute no longer works, you can't power it on or off, it still has sound passing through it and it is still powered on but it will no longer accept any commands from the remote. Only way to fix it at that point is to hard power cycle it. I also noticed when in pass through mode my TV doesnt automatically detect that there is video coming in over that HDMI port, so when in pass through mode every time I power on the TV I have to manually change it over to the HDMI arc port. Due to the above I cant run it in pass through mode which means I cant actually use it for atmos content which is the entire point of owning it. I can get past the manual input switch but the constant lock ups the sound bar is exhibiting renders it unusable. I guess it would be fine if you want to keep it at one volume level constantly and never expect to be able to turn it off or mute it, but that isnt my reality. If I didn't already toss the box (which I shouldn't have done) I would honestly return it. I am pretty disappointed and really wasn't expecting such a glaring issue.

Thanks for the review Strunker! We appreciate the feedback - for the app, make sure you have the most updated version and as we roll out new updates, you'll hopefully see that improved experience.

Sound bars using eARC, ARC and/or CEC rely on communication between the TV and the Sound bar. While VIZIO tests across a broad array of TVs and manufacturers, signal detection timing can vary between TV models. Some of these timing differences may cause pops or clicks between content changes.

VIZIO actively tracks these differences and rolls updates into Firmware updates. We encourage you to connect your VIZIO Elevate to your wireless network to take advantage of these Firmware updates as soon as they are available. So hang tight as we want you to get the absolute best experience with your Elevate system.
