I was going back and forth between this and the Sonos, and with the price of this compared to the Sonos it was a no brainer to me. It’s very loud and the wife says it shakes the entire house. Easy to setup for me and comes packaged well. Only complaint is I’ve experienced no sound when it switches to Dolby Atmos a couple times. I just turn it off and wait a minute or two and works just fine. Not that big of a deal to me, but hopefully a future software update will fix it.

I’ve had the sound bar for about 4 hours and it’s already driving me insane. Every time I change the channel, loud crack. Switch to Netflix, loud crack. Turn tv off, loud crack. Honestly, this alone is probably going to force me to return it. My old sound bar that cost half what this cost never cracked from the rear speakers. Twice in a 4 hour period I noticed the sound bar wouldn’t turn off when I turned off the tv (connected via earc). The only fix was to unplug the sound bar. Again, my old sound bar worked perfectly over arc and never once required a restart, let alone 2 in a few hours. I’ll wait to see if there’s new firmware but at this point I don’t plan on keeping the bar. The sound is better than my old bar, but for the price I’m not willing to put up with the cracking or need to unplug constantly. Overall, very disappointed.

Sound bars using eARC, ARC and/or CEC rely on communication between the TV and the sound bar. While VIZIO tests across a broad array of TVs and manufacturers, signal detection timing can vary between TV models. Some of these timing differences may cause pops or clicks between content changes. VIZIO actively tracks these differences and rolls updates into Firmware updates. If you decide to keep it, we encourage you to connect your VIZIO Elevate to your wireless network to take advantage of these Firmware updates as soon as they are available.

The audio, when it work, was mediocre at best. Additionally, the rear left speaker and bass were defective, although the rear right speaker did finction. Returned and bit the bullet on a 5.1.4 Sonos home theatre setup which is in an entirely different league.

Yet the more I read on Vizio soundbars the more I find out about this crack sound when turning on or off or changing any input on tv(LG C9 Oled). From that I've read they state it's a firmware issue, or cable issue but I'm using there cables, last I call Vizio only to get there the TV and Soundbar are not compatible. They have told this to people for years. Why not fix the problem!!! This is your most expensive audio equipment yet still same problems. Read people reviews and fix the problem! Gonna have to take it back unfortunately.
