Don’t but Vizio

Connecting it to the app to do updates is almost impossible, and the rear right speaker frequently cuts out. The subwoofer is close with a clear line of sight and there are no other devices that could cause interference. I’ve troubleshooted the issue for months. This is a common issue and there is absolutely nothing you can do.

Great when it works but dissapointed

We have to raise the volume to around 70% to hear some voices clearly. Sometimes the voices cut out completely and you only hear the music, and you have to switch the sound input from eARC to TV, and then back for it to work. VIZIO Tech Support was not very helpful. Would not buy this again, especially for the price.

Wasn't what I expected!

Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Plenty of issues with my soundbar, when the right side speaker rotates upwards it makes a horrible grinding sound as if it doesn't know when to stop. Soundbar doesn't respond to the remote inputs half of the time. Also popping sounds when changing Ota channels. Sometimes you get no sound at all and you have to constantly plug out the soundbar to reset it. The app to control the soundbar works half of the time and it hardly responds to any inputs. Not to mention me contacting vizio for a return, they said they would send me a email and 7 days has passed with nothing in my inbox. The soundbar had good sound when it decided to work properly but for a $1000 price point this thing feels like it's worth $150 at best. Totally disappointed because I really wanted to enjoy it. *BUYER BEWARE* Almost forgot that it took over an hour just to get it to connect to my wifi network smh.

Extremely Happy!!!

It cost less than other similar sound systems and yet has an overall extremely well balanced sound. The only drawback, if you think it may be, are the “wired” rear speakers. Yet, they add a powerful punch to the surround sound which is awesome!

Annoying audio cut-out with no help from Vizio

This wouldn't be the end of the world, but it also does it immediately after commercial/ad breaks on pretty much every streaming service. It's connected with a high-grade HDMI cable on eARC to a Sony Bravia 4k using PCM. I've dealt with Vizio customer support and was basically told to fly a kite due to the unit being over a year old (but less than 2 years old still). There are too many other quality options in the soundbar arena to deal with something like this. I'm not going to buy a new soundbar

Subwoofer disconnects every 45 seconds or so and nothing corrects it. My 2.0 Samsung sound bar had to be reinstalled just so I can listen to something for now. And the app lol....don’t get me started.

Did not work well and then it didn't work

HDMI sound would constantly pop in and out. Then the subwoofer wouldn't connect, which seems to be a common issue online and Vizio told my I'm stuck and to just buy a new Vizio product, lol.

Waste of money

Vizio support told me there’s nothing they can do since I’m out of the manufacturer’s warranty period of 1 year. Don’t waste your money on it as it is a luck of the draw if you’ll have a model with functioning volume control.

Beware!!

I didn’t want to believe the low ratings. But! Please believe them. I haven’t had the system three months. Like most said. The popping started in the rear speakers. The sub cuts in and out also. This makes me upset because i have cheaper vizio sound systems that are actually better. Go figure. Like the other reviews i can’t return it now. Buy at your own risk!!! GET THE WARRANTY AT LEAST!! You’ve been WARNED!!!

Vizion sound bar

I’d keep looking

The remote takes several attempts before it’ll recognize a function. The Elevate looks amazing, but the system is just too frustrating to make it worth dealing with. Vizio products have always been innovative, but they just can’t get the basics and simplicity down. FYI I updated to the latest firmware. I’m a professional installer and have a lot of experience with audio/video equipment, and this is just trash.
