I did some research and read tons of reviews before buying and came across this Vizio sound bar. The reviews were very promising and the overall price was good as I got it on a $250 sale. I took it home and from the moment I got home, it took me less than 10 minutes before I had my TV on testing it out. I love the wireless subwoofer which allows me to place it wherever I like and the rear speakers are wired from the subwoofer so I don't have to run wires from the tv stand to the back of my room. The subwoofer also automatically connects to save time. Bluetooth connection is a breeze and the system provides plenty of sound to fill my room and satisfy my needs. I connected the system to my tv via the included optical cable and I couldn't be happier. The system also comes with every cord for connection that you could use, so that saves you plenty of money as well. I'll recommend this product to anyone who would ask me. It's simple yet provides a great surround sound feeling, room shaking sound and base, and all for less than $300.

for the amount it cost it should give you some kind of display of what settings your on but it dose not you have to guess by the sound and it always goes to mute so you have to raise the volume all the time to get it to work very disappointing for the money the sound is good but you cant tell what setting its on

I chose this one to match the Vizio TV. Not a bad choice the size of our room.

Worked flawlessly out of the box. Set up is a snap. The sound quality for TV audio is very good. The sound quality from streaming music from my iPhone is also very good. Subwoofer has great, deep bass. For $240 I don't see how you could do better.

I bought this sound bar for a friend after countless hours of research. I don't buy anything without finding the best product for the lowest price. Super easy to hook up. One optical cable to tv (included) and digital coaxial to blu-ray (included). Plugged in sub, satellite speakers, turned sub on and away we went. Had to adjust treble, bass, and volume of sound bar center speaker and surround speakers. Once again easy. My 14 yr old could have done it. Sound is amazing. I have a much more expensive Mirage system at my place and I think this one sounds better. If I could give it 4.5 stars I would because the sub can be overpowered by the other speakers. I have to keep in mind that my sub alone costs more than entire sound bar system. This Vizio 5.1 goes loud enough that you have to yell to communicate with the person next to you. Volume isn't a problem. I have read several reviews that said the volume increments are too large. I noticed but doesn't bother me. Probably the same people that said my Jeep doesn't have enough cubby holes and the turn signal lever is too stiff. Who cares? Not a deal breaker. This is a great system. Get it before they are all gone. I actually had a hard time getting one. Sold out in all my local stores. Had to order online. Got it on sale for $239. Looks like it is $299 now. Hope this helps

I like the sound system. It's similar to one I had a few years ago. The guy at the store sold me the more expensive version and by the time I resized which one i had it was too late to return it. Otherwise it works nicely.

I have been looking around for a good sound bar. I researched high and low and finally landed upon the Vizio 3821-W system which was not surround sound but had great reviews. I took it home and set it up and found it to be a nice system but something was missing. The sound bar and sub woofer were very good but not great. I took it back. I read a little more and it dawned me that what I needed was a better sound bar with more speakers, etc and when I read about the Vizio 4251-W with a better sound bar (more and better speakers), a better wireless sub woofer and two surround sound speakers, it became obvious what I was missing - a complete home theater system for a reasonable. This sound bar allows me to "experience" my TV, movies and music. It may not be as good as an expensive set of speakers, etc but for me, with a nice size living room, it works perfectly and allows me to enjoy TV, movies and music and not break the bank. It was very simple to set up - about 10 minutes. Every cable was included that I needed. I then set my settings for volume on the sound bar, sub woofer and surround speakers. Another 10 minutes. I was done and ready to test it. I watched a new Star Trek movie and the "experience" was incredible. It felt like I was kinda in a theater. For the money ($199), I could not find a better sound bar system anywhere and had looked at higher priced systems. This was great for the price, easy to set up and the "experience" of watching or listening to my entertainment was worth every penny. I highly recommend!

I ordered this soundbar system and when I received it only the sub woofer was in the box. Horrible experience don't plan on ordering online from bestbuy again still haven't received my refund

We've found that the volume "comes and goes", it seems to fade in and out. And, as far as we can tell, the settings are "high" "medium" and "low" and nothing in between. Low is too low, medium is in most cases too loud, and high would blow us out of the room.
